Speaker 0 00:00:00 Ladies and John, you're listening to the fantasy alarm, MLB DFS podcast with host John IBA and James Grande. Speaker 1 00:00:10 Well, what's going on nation, John. I Pemba here with James Grande. Welcome back into the quick pitch. Lb DFS breakdown here, podcast live stream four Tuesday's 15 game main slate, James. You know, we had a nice little eight gamer that you and I are having fun watching. Shout out Jordan Montgomery with the complete game one hitter. If you watched yesterday's live stream video here, uh, we built the lineup at the end of the show and Monti was in that lineup as one of our starting pitchers. So that lineup was, uh, looking pretty strong right now. And hopefully, uh, we can keep some of that continued success into this day show. Speaker 2 00:00:42 Yeah. 15 games on today's compared to the eight gamer. I think you and I both prefer the former, the eight gamer, but you know, 15 games, core slate. It's gonna provide us with a little bit of everything. We have a elite pitching at the top. We have some arms that we're gonna wanna stack against. So it should be fun. It should, we have to be creative. You don't have to be crazy because there's not gonna be like outside of cores. Like any one particular offense that is just so highly owned compared to the others. Cuz every team in baseball is playing. So, you know, this is definitely a slate where, and any time I think you have a course late where there's 15 games, you can look to explore other avenues yeah. Than just stacking cores or you know, this could be one of the lowest owned core slates. Right. Speaker 1 00:01:31 Because cause yeah, cuz there's so many games, so many from Speaker 2 00:01:34 Yeah. Right. So I'm with you. It's a fun, it's gonna be a fun, fun approach on Tuesday slate and I'm ready to break it down. Yeah. Speaker 1 00:01:40 We'll kick it off at the pitching. Like we mentioned, there's a lot of great guys here. Rod Don is at 11 K against Detroit yet Corbin burns here are 10, six against the Dodgers Verlander at home against Minnesota. Dylan cease at on the road here against Baltimore is your 10 K and above grouping. We've talked a lot about Dylan cease. The, the streak came to an end last time out against Houston, five innings, three earn runs a lot. Walk three there he had, what was it like 19 starts or some stupid thing like that where he had at least one I one or fewer runs that trend got bucked. But now he's only against Baltimore. How are you ranking these top four starters? Speaker 2 00:02:17 I mean, I think it's pretty clear that Rodan has the best matchup of the bunch. I know we have typically not typically, but there have been times that you and I have talked ourselves and our listeners into tigers against left Rodan is in really good form right now. Yeah. Two earn runs or less than four straight starts, three double digit strikeout outings in his last five games. We've seen 38 tennis point upside during that span as well. Hasn't faced the best competition, but apart for the course with Detroit, right? It's not like it's gonna get any Speaker 1 00:02:50 Harder. Well, last two weeks for Detroit fifth, highest strike got rate against lefthand pitching 27.3%. Just the 2 76 WOBA if you were looking for the matchup as we talked about with Rodan. Well yes, there certainly have been times this year where we've been like, Hey, you know what, tigers, they could be sneaky today, but that lineup, you know, not really a fine grain in all cylinders when it comes to those guys that do hit lefties outside of, you know, Baez really is the only one that's continued to hit lefties this year, you know, for, for a spot there, you know, Haas had really good numbers. J our had really good numbers. Those guys numbers against lefties have kind of tanked bias is really the only one. Obviously the one concern that generally follows rod on at times is the home roads, you know, crazy good at home. Speaker 1 00:03:27 1.8, six E 3 72 road, ER, but a lot of that also is sort of, you know, match up the depending he got hit by Arizona, he got hit by Dodgers and back to back road starts to kind of, for 10 of those earn runs that he gave up on the road of the 32 this season. So you have some tough spots there, but Detroit certainly presents a much easier matchup for him. We talked about it today. You know, we've when it comes to sort of chalky twins, you know, we've feels like we always lose money on them. <laugh> this isn't gonna be a chalky twin spot, but it is a Justin in Verlander verse twin spot at $10,500. He's faced them once already this season threw a one hitter over eight inning struck out five. Speaker 2 00:04:04 Yeah, I think of the four. And I think you can go down sea and I have no problem going Downe. I think you and I both would agree in Baltimore is a good spot to be these days hitching, unless you're cutter Crawford the other day. Sorry, John. But I mean, that was just Speaker 1 00:04:20 Insane. I, I feel bad for, you know, again, if I'm not perfect, none of us are, or else we'd all be billionaires. But uh, you know, my, my exact quote that night when talking about the Baltimore of red Sox game was not many home runs get hit in Baltimore and they scored that game was a 15 to 10 final. Basically every member of the OS hit a Homer. So can't be right. Every time I would be stunned if they went ahead and hit all those home runs off Dylan C Speaker 2 00:04:43 Things agreed. But my point, I mean, other than that one game, you were correct that just an outlier, Speaker 1 00:04:49 Very wrong. At least I was very wrong. You know, if I'm wrong, like I always say like, I wanna be very wrong. I was very wrong. 25 run score to that game. So 25 Speaker 2 00:04:56 I think wrote on Verlander or the like, like a tier and then B tier is burn cease for me. Yeah. So I think we're all done Verlander. I don't think there's a wrong answer of the two. I would, Speaker 1 00:05:08 I actually wonder how many people go all the way up there. I mean, if we broke it off of the 10 K, it's kind of how we segment them, like eight K nine K guys look at the nine K guys, right? Robbie, Reagans, Washington. We've talked about Washington against lefties. Now I know recent performance, you know, Robbie Ray has been decent with strikeout numbers, Washington the other day. Certainly. Who did they run up against? That kind of upset us there. Blake snow, right? Blake snow. Yep. Yeah. And you know, we didn't really get the performance we had hoped for outta snow there, but still right now, Robbie Ray at home and he is pitching against Washington could be a spot format at home this year, two eight era. We know he is a big strikeout guy. The Washington strikeout numbers against lefty had been trending up. Speaker 1 00:05:41 I think you kinda leveled off again. You know, that team is kind of goes through their ups and downs. Tony Goslin, as we mentioned, just quarter was one of those like ridiculously good Dodgers starters. There's outta nowhere. This year 15 to one two on two era. You'll look at 'em at home. This season a one five era. He Milwaukee already this year, seven innings two earn eight strikeouts. Not gonna tell you no. When it comes to Tony, Goslin max freed lefty, Vince, the pirates $9,400 just coming off a start seven innings, two earn six strikeouts against the Mets, like came off the IL pitching as well. He did it before he went on with the concussion 94, like how do you not like go max free here? Like you, I don't think you need to spend up for the top guys. Or if you do want a big slate like this, there's a good chance that there's enough value for you to sort of fit them all in. But you know, you could literally pick any one of like the six pitches we've started right now. Put 'em both in your lineup, but I think, feel pretty comfortable with it as we've kind of built across. But you know, that's a really strong nine K grouping. Speaker 2 00:06:40 Yeah. I mean, I think it's headline by Goslin just given how good he's been. I know Milwaukee has been better against righties, but they're also susceptible to the strikeout. I think three to super safe in all, whatever you wanna do cash think. Especially cash games. Yeah, man. I mean, look, if you just look through, there was log, you cannot find a start other than his opening start, John, his first start is the only start he has made this year where he did not get us at least double digit fantasy points. Right. That is incredible consistency. That is exactly the floor. The look for in cash games. And you mentioned it there's actual upside here because it's the pirate. So, Speaker 1 00:07:20 So Freed's face the pirates. Goslin's got the brewers. Speaker 2 00:07:23 Yeah. Did I say, did Speaker 1 00:07:25 I, did you say Goslin but if you said freed, I'm gonna I'm fully agree with you. I mean, Goslin's been great too, so well Speaker 2 00:07:31 I pivoted, I went from Goland Speaker 1 00:07:32 To, oh, okay. You pivoted down. I was actually looking at well, you, when you, I heard you mentioned Golin I remembered we talk about this a lot. The brewers are a really good home team. We talk about Eric lowerers pitching on the Monday slate. Really good home numbers. The brewers on the road this year, bat team batting average 180 8. So, you know, if you're, if you are again, sort of looking at for reasons, right? That's the last, sorry, that's the last two weeks. Uh, the brewers on the hitting hitting 180 8 overall this season on the road, two 30 road batting average for them. So still not great. Yeah. Still not great, but recent form, horrible and running up against one of the best pitches in the national league. Speaker 2 00:08:08 Yeah. I just wanna take a look at Vandal by the way, John. Sure. Just while we're on Goslin higher price than Dylan cease on this site. Okay. So is Robbie Ray also higher priced than Dylan CS? Freed is $100 less than Dylan CS. Yeah. All these there's seven pitchers over 10 K on Fandel. I still think Rodan Verlander for me, but Dylan C's being the seventh or the let's see 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, highest price pitcher on Fandel really stands out. Sure. Speaker 1 00:08:39 Over there. I agree with you. What do you make of ranges war as a Nilo dolo being in the Cine K range. Speaker 2 00:08:44 I mean, Lalo has crazy upside and was very highly coveted. Speaker 1 00:08:49 Just face them seven shut out AKs. And it's very same match up only this time they're on the road. Speaker 2 00:08:54 Yeah. I think which is yeah. Which is even better for Lalo. Speaker 1 00:08:58 Did they both throw seven shout out on that side? Did they face one another on those games? That's clear. Speaker 2 00:09:02 When did led pitch on the 17th? Speaker 1 00:09:05 Yeah. The 17th for Lalo was Forez on the 17th as well. Yeah. Yep. Speaker 2 00:09:08 They both. Yep. Speaker 1 00:09:09 They both threw seven shutout, eight strikeouts against one another in that game. Speaker 2 00:09:12 That was the walk off for the reds in the ninth. Like I don't think we need to Speaker 1 00:09:16 Really, you can say down slide was interesting that they were both in the nine K range compared to Speaker 2 00:09:21 Clinger in a revenge narrative here against Cleveland. Speaker 1 00:09:24 Yeah. I'd rather go back to Lopez. So we thought was pitching agreed because they didn't move us. Price tag is 8,100. Speaker 2 00:09:29 So I'm down. I'm down with that. I like that. Right. Speaker 1 00:09:31 That feels even though, again, recent form Lopez, not great, but you know, still Oakland, still Oakland Speaker 2 00:09:37 Entire season, form Oakland, not great. Speaker 1 00:09:40 Right. We talked about CBER his last start against the Yankees. He pitched well for $8,800 and now he's $7,700 against the angels in Tampa bay. We saw Springs tonight, deal against him. You know, what are your thoughts on the way now, again, we know that trout and those guys are in the Otton and whatnot are in that lineup, but you know, Kluber's in, C's in pitching decent late Speaker 2 00:10:02 Well Otani wasn't and I think that's a key. He is, has a stomach ache or stomach bug, whatever it is, stomach illness, if he's still not in the lineup. And again, like we set it on, uh, for Monday slate, like trout played again and I get it, like maybe he's just fully over this injury, but he's now played four games in a row since being back after the injury. Like, yeah. I don't know. He's going to get time off. Like they're not playing for anything. He's hasn't been the healthiest guy in the last few years could be a lineup without trout and Otani and if that's the case, I mean, I would have a lot of interest in, in Clover. I think he's fine for tournaments. I wouldn't play him in cash, but I definitely think that we see some nice strikeout upside from him lately. And yeah, I mean, we've said it all year, like the angels strike out more than anybody else, so right. I'm in on some, Speaker 1 00:10:52 I mean, try to even strikes that a lot. So it's not like strikeout. Right. Doesn't even matter really. So yeah, I'm in, I'm in there. I think that, uh, K's kind of interesting just given the price drop after that though. I don't know. There's you know, do you like any of the guys under, under CBER here? I mean, does anybody jump up to you? We can't use the cords guys. Stripling is kind of interesting. Boston's lineup is just so me. They don't seem interested. He's faced him three times this year. He doesn't have a win or a loss, but he is been okay. 3 21. You know, there are obviously being in Boston, maybe changes things a little bit, but like triplings always been a good pitcher, you know, they can they've let him pitch, you know, 90 plus pitches at times. You know, I know his pitch count sometimes is a Wey for him, but you know, I feel like stacking Toronto offensively could, is a route that someone will look to go. We know when Kowsky is trashed, they Putal on the IL today. But I mean, if you look at the rest of the value here, I don't know, maybe Jose swore at $6,600, but I don't see much. Speaker 2 00:11:52 It's super good. Right? Yeah. Speaker 1 00:11:53 I don't really see much else that we, I would wanna tempt myself. Speaker 2 00:11:57 I'm I would have some, I have mild interest in Stripling. I'm with you mild interest in Suz. Speaker 1 00:12:05 Yeah. Speaker 2 00:12:06 Mild interest in Zach Davies who didn't look terrible his last time out. And I don't think much of the Royals. Speaker 1 00:12:13 Yeah. The six strikeouts was interesting cuz he's not, I mean, or a pleasant surprise cuz he's not a strikeout guy. Speaker 2 00:12:19 Right. Speaker 1 00:12:20 So that's my, like if he's he needs a win because five innings, three strikeouts, two earned, whatever. He's not gonna get you any points. So Speaker 2 00:12:30 Fair. I'm just trying to pull something out here. There's Speaker 1 00:12:33 Nothing Speaker 2 00:12:33 Here. I'm trying. Maybe Austin's how about this Austin? Four trade starts of 15 plus fantasy points. We know the white Sox are just a much better of offense against lefties. I guess they've been okay against righties in August. They're 11th and op PS, but they're not hitting for any power. Right? 27th in ISO. I think that gonna, you know, that's gonna sh rear its ugly head in, in Camden cuz there's just no power being showed there. Speaker 1 00:13:01 I just don't think there's any win equity there. Cause cease is on the Speaker 2 00:13:05 Other cease is on the other side. Yeah. I mean that's what Baltimore's been the best team in the American league east over the last. Speaker 1 00:13:10 Yeah. I mean, I, I could be dead wrong. Cease just gave up bronze. Maybe he is, you know, he was so good for so long. Maybe he goes the other way, you know, Speaker 2 00:13:19 I don't disagree and I'm not, I wouldn't play a single one of these dudes in cash, but just, I think VO would be the only, probably the only other guy I actually would consider playing down here. Speaker 1 00:13:31 Yeah. I think you're right. That's kind of where I'm at too. So we're, I'll probably land on tours over Voth but if you wanna be different, I think that's probably the pivot. Right. So, and I think we've looked too isn't hasn't Tampa bay struggled against lefties on one of the teams up there with strikeouts too. Speaker 2 00:13:44 In the month of August. Tampa is 14th and strikeout. Right? Okay. 23.8%. So there is some strike at upside. They've also only been their 22nd in ops. Good pitchers park as well. So you're on something Speaker 1 00:14:01 There. Cool. All right, let's go to catcher while we hear again, we talk about, you know, looking to spend up, looking to spend down finding the value, especially at the catcher again, I like Toronto. So if Kirk's there, like I'd be fine. Kind of putting him in the mid tier range there. Cores is obviously in play. You can go whichever catcher you want of the Rangers or of, of Colorado, whomever's in the lineup there. All of that is fine for me as well. We also do have the lefty matchup for Mia, which we've talked about, even though we like SW we didn't do much tonight, but you know, could certainly go that direction if you wanted to. And our boy Darnell is still very cheap, but 3,300. Speaker 2 00:14:35 Yeah. I don't think much is gonna change night tonight. Like all those guys you mentioned, I think are firmly in play. Yeah. I don't hate Jose Travino for the Yankees against Taiwan Walker. Now that he's starting, we mentioned it last night. I don't hate Beth in court. If he's in the lineup with mahi. I don't, I mean, Joey, Bart's been incredible for a little while now. Drew Hutchison. I don't think much of, so I think all those guys are firmly in play. Okay. Speaker 1 00:15:00 And obviously as lineups come out for this, you know, we'll be able to maybe identify some other sure. Matchup plays, but catch your position again is generally one that we don't find, you know, unless there's like a, for shore matchup, you know which today there's too many good pitchers for there really to be a hammer home spot. So you kinda look and find the find where you think the runs are gonna be going there. So first base at the top, you know, if OTAs in the line, it'd be 64. Goldie's at six K again, I'm buying into Toronto $5,800. We talk about it all the time. Like nobody ever plays blue Jays, even though they feels like they're always in great spots. It also feels like they underperform more often than not too. Yeah. But when Kowski is just so awful. So I'm in on and I Vlady there. Anybody else for you Speaker 2 00:15:40 Above 5k? I mean Alonzo against Frankie Montas he's mantas has been so Speaker 1 00:15:45 Bad. We talk about this mantas on the road before he was traded to from Oakland was all of his production was great in Oakland. Now he is home Paul Park, his Yankee stadium. And it was not a good day and it killed me because I had the under 87 and a half pitches or whatever it was. And I sent him back out for the sixth inning, despite the fact that he gave up six runs in five. So Speaker 2 00:16:06 They said Monte, you're our lamb today. Yeah. We need you to just eat innings. Yeah. Yeah. Speaker 1 00:16:11 Frustrating. So I'm with you there. I think that's a good one. Speaker 2 00:16:14 I probably play Rizzo as well in Yankee stadium. Speaker 1 00:16:16 Sure. And CRO, I mean, I cut it off at 5k, but like Crohn's been way better against righties this year, as we talked about and you get the cords bump for sure. Also against brew baker, we talked about Olsen. The power swings been in stride for him at 47. Hoskins gets the lefty. I know LA do shut them down. Speaker 2 00:16:32 So good numbers. Righties have good numbers against led. I was just looking at this cuz I just wanted to see like how much we stock. We should put into their price tags. Yeah. Eight 30 ops 360 8. WOBA against righthand bats for led Hoskins 4 35 WOBA seven home runs and 108 at bats against lefties. Right? Big, big time spot for him. Speaker 1 00:16:52 Yep. I'm with you. I think that's a good spot for $4,600 and people may be off of them cuz they just saw Ole shut them down. Right. So yep. You know, they could be scared off that a bit. So the mid-tier guys that are in that low 4k and below, I mean I know we talked about Voth but like when is Jose bra? You ever 4k? I mean, get it. We talk about the splits and all that stuff and whatnot. I mean he's hitting 500 over his last 10, right? Like that Speaker 2 00:17:16 Pretty. That seems pretty good. Speaker 1 00:17:17 Yeah. Again, listen again. I understand, I understand that this isn't a is a pitcher park and it's a right on a, but like Jose, Brady's not a $4,000 hitter. Speaker 2 00:17:26 No, never. So Speaker 1 00:17:27 I, I, this could be like, Hey draft Kings, like it's a 15 game slate. We have the price. We can't give everybody 5k price tags. And they just like right. Some interns like Jose Abreu 5 0 4 K. So I mean I love that spot for Abreu at 4k. Speaker 2 00:17:41 Yeah. I have no, no, no problem with it. I would say the only thing I'm gonna have trouble with is not playing five Astros and Trey man is the same price. I know array's been way better, but I was just looking up Aaron Sanchez numbers this year, John. Yeah, Speaker 1 00:17:58 I know they're Speaker 2 00:17:58 Not right. Handed batters against Aaron Sanchez this year. Yeah. 4 21 average 4 71, 6 97 slug 4 92. WOBA he has a 10% care rate against rightee 2.65 home runs per nine innings. Speaker 1 00:18:18 Are those good numbers? Yeah, Speaker 2 00:18:20 I think they're quite good. Yeah. Does Speaker 1 00:18:22 He pitch more than four innings though? I guess is the problem, right? Like Speaker 2 00:18:25 I think that Speaker 1 00:18:26 Might not matter. Well, I, I, so I don't mind it at 4k. You're right. For Mancini probably better. G is maybe a Brady was a cash game. 4k guy. Speaker 2 00:18:33 Sure. Yeah. I like that call Speaker 1 00:18:35 And they both may go on their own cuz our boy Nate low is at 3,600 in course. Speaker 2 00:18:39 <laugh> right, right. And Brady lefty. And he's just dude, Speaker 1 00:18:43 I know you don't have you, you have it in front of you. I'm showing it to the viewers here at home. Last 10 games for Nate, low Nathaniel low. Sorry. I'll get his name. Correct. 4 47 batting average. An 1170 ops. He's got two homers, two doubles. Now they're in cores. They didn't touch his price tag. They bump in 400 bucks. So even if you're one offing, right. Aren't you aren't you spending down to Nate low in the spot Speaker 2 00:19:07 Probably. Yeah. I mean that's he's your cash game. Play. No question about it. Yeah. That's your CA that's your cash game first basement and move on. Speaker 1 00:19:14 Cause he is right. I mean, unless we're completely misreading it, we always assume high ownership and cores. Speaker 2 00:19:20 No it's no, it's we're not MIS middle Speaker 1 00:19:22 Of the order bat on a hot streak right now. Speaker 2 00:19:24 Like just even like you even saying that you're misreading it and then as you continue to like, just name more Speaker 1 00:19:30 Reason, why Speaker 2 00:19:31 Should be higher more reasons Speaker 1 00:19:33 As to why? Yeah. Should we lock him into our lineup? Should we, should we put ALO in the lineup? Speaker 2 00:19:38 It depends on let's. Let's re let's revisit the approach at the end because I think we're gonna have a discussion about fading, failing or fading cores. Yeah. Okay. Speaker 1 00:19:49 Okay. We'll go to second base then Drew's at 56. Birdie's at 52 Altuve day today. Let's see. What do we got the most recent update here outta lineup for Sunday with shoulder soreness. So we'll have to wait and see could be gametime decision, but you mentioned all those writing numbers against Sanchez can tell Marte is back not paying 52 for him. Rojas is 52, not big fan of that Rogers and cos is at 51 semis at 49. Speaker 2 00:20:11 Here we go with Seon, huh? Speaker 1 00:20:13 Yeah. Semi in 49 in cores. I've been playing a lot of Jimenez and, and nobody used three point a half percent. The other day against the white Sox. He gave you 10 fantasy points at 5k against the lefty spot against clinger here. You know, is it again? I just think nobody's gonna be playing him. So you know, if you're looking for maybe a late aren't a low ownership play, I mean, he is been very good. So mine the spot for Speaker 2 00:20:35 Him, I mean 36 extra base hits 14 that left the yard, 15 stolen bases. And a lot of those have come lately too. Like if you look, he had three stolen bases, he has 6, 6, 7 stolen bases in August alone. Yeah. So there's really no down, like he's just been super efficient and, and high upside type of guy. So I'm a hundred percent with you. Speaker 1 00:20:57 Yep. Mid 4k is who stands out to you. Speaker 2 00:21:00 Ugh. Jeff McNeil has been amazing for the met of late. I know like we don't typically think of McNeil as like an upside guy, but four 60 average is good enough for me. Speaker 1 00:21:11 Seven doubles. Now you're in, maybe those doubles are home runs in Yankee stadium. Right? Speaker 2 00:21:15 Literally what I wrote in Monday's playbook word for word like the, some of those doubles turn to home runs in Yankee stadium all the time, especially for lefties. So I like Jeff McNeil quite a bit. I don't hate Wilmer Flores at 43. We've talked about it. He's been equally as good against righties. If not better against righties this year. Yeah. For a guy who's been typically better against lefties this whole career, you can go with Maryfield. Speaker 1 00:21:41 I was gonna say again, just filling out the Toronto stack, filling out the Speaker 2 00:21:45 Ack and that's your he'll hit ninth and he'll, you know, flip it around to Springer Guerrero. Speaker 1 00:21:52 Yeah. I mean he is not hitting well, but Homer today, so heard the other day, sorry. Speaker 2 00:21:55 It was a double bounce off the top of the wall in Yankee stadium. Speaker 1 00:21:59 It counts. Speaker 2 00:22:00 It does Speaker 1 00:22:01 Counts as a Speaker 2 00:22:01 Homer. He should account for two. I mean, you know, that's Speaker 1 00:22:03 True. It's true. Let's see anybody else here. Speaker 2 00:22:06 Ish. I'm 20 Speaker 1 00:22:06 Obligatory Fletcher. Shut Speaker 2 00:22:08 Out and Grham 23. Sure. Speaker 1 00:22:10 Let's see. That is Royal. If he's in the lineup again at 2,500 Grham at 23, like you mentioned for sure. Speaker 2 00:22:18 The Rangers been playing mark Mathias a little bit when he's hit two home runs in his last like nine games, $2,000 cores, free cores play, you know, just throwing that out there too. Yeah. Speaker 1 00:22:31 Yeah. Three hits in last four games works for me RBIS and like five could be something in two Ks. Gonna be the track though. Just like he was today. Speaker 2 00:22:38 Yeah. I mean Speaker 1 00:22:39 He shouldn't be 2300, so Speaker 2 00:22:41 No it's but listen, we know draft games. We understand football's right on the corner, man. We know just, Speaker 1 00:22:47 No, I feel like brew breakers like upset us more than he should have it Speaker 2 00:22:51 Been good. I mean he's I think he threw seven score lists against the red Sox last time. <laugh> I think that was like, yeah. Two hits against the socks. Yeah. Speaker 1 00:22:58 I'll I'll keep on going back to the well against him though. Well, Speaker 2 00:23:01 Even if, I mean like he got Grham had five fantasy points on Monday. Yeah, you're fine. Speaker 1 00:23:07 It's it's fine. Yeah. He's not killing me. Speaker 2 00:23:09 That's fine. Like you're playing, like if we agreed on building a cash lineup, we would already have Nate low V Grham. That would be our true. That would be like the first two players in our lineup. Speaker 1 00:23:20 Yep. I agree with you. All right. Third base. Usually our favorite position here Maciato against the valley. Devs gets Stripling. Our ATO against Sampson against Chicago. Premier is at clinger Riley at brew bay against brew baker here and Alex Bregman at $4,900 against the anal. Not anal Aaron Sanchez. Speaker 2 00:23:39 Well, you know I'm going Bregman. Yeah. I'm going I'm I mean, look, I'm not obviously like out here looking Speaker 1 00:23:46 Yeah. That monster game Speaker 2 00:23:46 For you. Five fantasy points four Speaker 1 00:23:48 Games ago. Speaker 2 00:23:48 But we have at nauseum said how much better against right-handed pitching. He's been this year. Yeah. And now we have a right-handed pitcher that has been dreadful against right-handed bats. It's like a match made in heaven. So Bregman's gonna be my top spend at third. Speaker 1 00:24:06 Okay. I, again, I like it. 4,900. You're saving yourself some money. Come on a I still at 5,700. I just like the Cardinals, uh, his numbers actually. I think he actually hits this year better for average against right-handed pitching a lot of his, a lot of his ops I think is against lefties. But I think average wise, R IO against righties has been his strong split. Speaker 2 00:24:24 I think you're, I think you're onto something and it's something we talked about recently. Yeah. 3 0 7 against righties. Nobody plays him when it's, when it's a right. Everyone just plays him when it's a lefty because it's like, oh, Nolan ado against lefties. Well like do your research, the guys, this is he's having the best of his career. Speaker 1 00:24:40 Yeah. Still it still. So the ball very well. So, but you're right. I think fragmented 49, you save some cash there in a big slate has just as much upside as any of those other plays, the forgotten blue Jay Chapman against Winow 48. Again, nobody's playing him cuz you'd find the a hundred dollars play Braman. So certainly can, uh, can find your way in that direction. Mid tier. You were all in on Al Bo today. I imagine you'd go all back to Al Bo three hits Speaker 2 00:25:02 Another three hits. I mean, I also think like the Chapman thing, McMahon's $200 cheaper and he's been really good lately. And like you and Alex Bo 42 coming off back to back three hit games now. So Speaker 1 00:25:15 Yeah. Back to back three hit games are the two Homer games, two games on Sunday. Let's see. Actually it looks like he left Monday with an injury. So maybe we watched that Speaker 2 00:25:23 Bombed did. Yeah. Oh, hadn't been moving well all game. He was good enough to hit, have three hits. Speaker 1 00:25:29 I was gonna say, what are we talking about? So, all right. Maybe bone was outta the lineup. So pay attention to Speaker 2 00:25:33 That. That's Speaker 1 00:25:33 Unfortunate. Yeah. Pay attention there. 4k guys, 4k and under where are we? Where are we? Where are we looking? Speaker 2 00:25:39 Kyle Farmer. The lefty specialist. Sure. Speaker 1 00:25:42 Yeah. Speaker 2 00:25:42 All he ever does is hit lefties. I'm trying to get to that's transition. James. Gotta Speaker 1 00:25:48 Be better. Gotta be ready. Gotta be fast. Speaker 2 00:25:49 Kyle Farmer. 18 4 0 2 Wobo against lefties this year. So I don't hate that. Speaker 1 00:25:55 Okay. That works for me. Any other way, Speaker 2 00:25:57 You know, I've been playing Donovan, Solano he's rakes. I don't no only hits right. Only hits from the right side, but oh, okay. He's been hitting third for the reds, which is a wild ride. But like that's where we Speaker 1 00:26:09 Are when, so 21 batting average is last time. Speaker 2 00:26:11 It's oh, I'm just saying, man. I'm just saying, but I don't think there's I don't think there's like a, Speaker 1 00:26:17 I was gonna see where do they have your boy if they move OWA back to shortstop. Speaker 2 00:26:21 Must have no, he was down here. Is he you're ready? Missing him third and short. Yep. Third and maybe Speaker 1 00:26:27 Not. Speaker 2 00:26:28 He's playing outfield. He's been playing outfield too. So only matter time. Only matter of time before he gets some eligibility out there Speaker 1 00:26:34 Too short stop trade Turner 59 Seger and cos I guess, right. That'd be yeah. It's truck to 58. Uhlin do gets Montes though. Like we've mentioned, we don't mind, mind stocking, stacking up against Frank Monto Sierra $5,800 continuing with the blue Jay stack. But she, even though he's kind of been trending down this season when an awful first round pick for Beche was this year. Ah, killer. Yes. I don't really see a lot else in the top tier though. I don't like these guys that are 45 and above nothing really is appealing to me. Speaker 2 00:27:00 No, but right below that, your boy for some safety Jose Alaia is 44. Speaker 1 00:27:05 Yeah, dude. His right he's been in lefties this year 4 4400 keeps crushing it. I mean again, BA has hit lefties this year, but not gonna face him against Rodan. Speaker 2 00:27:13 Ooh, Jeremy Paya. 3,800 John. I know he hasn't been fantastically, but yeah. Speaker 1 00:27:18 I mean, he's been okay. He's at a couple games to some hits, not as hot as he was to start the year, obviously Speaker 2 00:27:22 It's but it's the writing matchup that we're looking for with Aaron Sanchez. Yep. Speaker 1 00:27:26 With you. I don't mind it. Speaker 2 00:27:27 JP craw 33. Speaker 1 00:27:29 I was gonna say we're not. We Haven Eddie Seattle against fed yet. So could go there Roja versus Logan 29. Maybe could be. Yeah, maybe. Right. He hits Lee hits lofty historically. So Speaker 2 00:27:39 The Marlins, another team haven't mentioned and they're having a fairly decent offensive night at to this point. Yeah. Could be in play. I actually don't hate that. We'll see where rowhouse is hitting in the lineup, but I don't hate it. Speaker 1 00:27:52 Okay. That's it for me at short Speaker 2 00:27:53 Thought B crowd's been a little better lately. Yeah. Maybe hated by cores though. So we don't need to go there. Speaker 1 00:27:58 All right. Outfield again, top price guys are all there. You kind of pick your stack, pick your play. Who's your go-to guy. This range. Is it your end? You though it's con righty. Speaker 2 00:28:07 It might be your end just to bring it home. Judge Homeward. I don't, I, that match up against Speaker 1 00:28:14 It's 4%. Everybody plays judge. Every now he doesn't do anything. He face his assures there. So nobody plays him and he homers at 4%. Speaker 2 00:28:20 I'm gonna go judge or Alvarez as my two top, you know, like the Yankees offense. Hasn't been great. But like, we just know what judge can do in the stadium. Speaker 1 00:28:32 Sure. I don't mind that again. I think whatever your stack is, you kind of find that guy and you kind of throw him in there. So Rosarea Homer again, tonight gets lefty and scores. Right? We've you've been touting that Speaker 2 00:28:42 He's he's been incredible for fantasy lately. Yeah. Home runs power. All of it. Yep. Speaker 1 00:28:48 I agree with you. Nine 40 op APIs. Last 10 knock iconic tonight's games. Certainly a guy that could be in play. We know COC in Texas. Those guys are gonna be all available. You know, doles is at 47. Blackman's at 48. You can kind of just pick and choose your spot for them there. Mid four Ks. Which ones stand out to you, Speaker 2 00:29:04 Kyle Tucker 47. Sure. Very surprising. I'm sure to everyone, Laura SCEL he's struggling a little bit and I don't know where his power has gone. 4,400. I don't hate that against Winkowski when Kowski 10 home runs in his last nine Speaker 1 00:29:17 Starts or yeah, I know he is been, he's been getting crushed. Speaker 2 00:29:20 Castanos has been super good lately too. 12 game hitting streak. Extended hallmark on Monday. And he Homer. Yep. Homer, R B I double Michael Harris, Homer on the only two runs in the brave score. Michael Harris home run. He loves right-handed pitching. Speaker 1 00:29:35 Yeah. Win Winker and Hager both in today. Speaker 2 00:29:37 Yeah. Don't hate this like three man stack. You could get of the, Speaker 1 00:29:44 I think Hagar's hitting righty is better than lefties. Last I checked. Speaker 2 00:29:48 Let us see. Let us see. Hagar is hitting 2 86 against righty. This year righty's given Eric Fedie some issues 3 47. WOBA against. And we know J rod is there as well, so, Speaker 1 00:30:01 Yep. I agree with you again, you could sack that outfield. Maybe throw Winker in there. Speaker 2 00:30:05 Yeah. Could full do a little full Speaker 1 00:30:06 Have for as maybe, you know, something like that to that. Sure. Under 4k guys, if we're going in that direction here BEU goes at 35. They just kind of keep him chilling where he is at you like Harold, you mentioned Howard. Amanda is the other day. Howard Ramirez. The other day. 3,400 for him against Warez. Speaker 2 00:30:24 He's crushing lefties. This year Speaker 1 00:30:25 We talked up Oscar. Gonzalas another couple hits the other day. I know it's against clinger, but that man's hitting the ball pretty well at $3,400. Let's see Speaker 2 00:30:34 My boy, Jake McCarthy, Homer, the other day, John, did he? I mean, he just is like, look at these numbers. He's just rolling right now. We're rolling. Jake McCarthy 3 24, average nine, 10 ops over his last 10. Get this man. Some more at bats here. That's good. Top of the order. You know? Speaker 1 00:30:50 It is definitely. It's definitely good. Would you run gal out there right now? You know, I would again burns. Speaker 2 00:30:56 Oh, no, not I forgot experience. We talked about him on the seasonal pod today. Yeah. And how like he is actually viable. <laugh> in fantasy right now. It's wild to think. But he is. Speaker 1 00:31:08 Yep. Fran. Mill's at a three K again. Still kind of fine. His way through that lineup kind of works out for that. Let's see. Leos is 2,800. I know. He like that. Speaker 2 00:31:18 Yeah. That's pretty popular. Speaker 1 00:31:20 Let's see. Fraley is the lefty, right? Yeah. He's a lefty. Anybody else for you does a, maybe Newbar leads off again. Now that it's a righty. That's pitching. Not a lefty. Might. Speaker 2 00:31:30 Yeah. That's a good one. That's a good call. John. Newbar's been good Speaker 1 00:31:33 Because with the leftys the last couple starts, they've flipped into the ninth hole, but he could lead off here with the righty back on the spot. Sure. Speaker 2 00:31:39 I think it's a good call. I don't see anything else. Like I would play day, but he's a lefty in that matchup for Miami. Speaker 1 00:31:44 So. All right. Gimme your home run call then we'll make a lineup. Speaker 2 00:31:47 I'm gonna Goreman Speaker 1 00:31:49 Bregman. All right. That's a good one. I'm gonna go. Gonna go Nate, low Nate, low. You're going high. Speaker 2 00:31:56 Nate. Can't go Nate Speaker 1 00:31:57 Low. I'm gonna give you a value play. Speaker 2 00:31:58 You can go Nate. Low of course. Speaker 1 00:32:00 Oh, it's course. Right? Broke, broke. The rules broke. Speaker 2 00:32:02 The rules, broke the rules. Yeah. If for all those first time listeners, we do not use Speaker 1 00:32:06 Course field for the home Speaker 2 00:32:07 Run. We do not use decor course field for our home run Speaker 1 00:32:10 Calls. Cheating. Speaker 2 00:32:12 Sorry, John. Speaker 1 00:32:12 Sorry. It's my own fault. I got blinded by the third price point for all. We'll go. We'll go back to our now you're using third base one. I won't do R I want so we can kind of build a line together. I'll go rose and Rena. We'll keep it. We'll keep the train running we're at. Okay. Speaker 2 00:32:25 Okay. Speaker 1 00:32:26 So Speaker 2 00:32:27 And so let's do some, let's do some builds. Speaker 1 00:32:29 Okay. Go with pitching. Speaker 2 00:32:31 All right. Well what do you wanna do about course? Speaker 1 00:32:34 That's I'm I wanna play it. Yeah. Yeah, no, we're building line of the win. I'm not fading. Cos the, the fade course, I want ne low in my lineup. Speaker 2 00:32:41 So what do we feel about pitching? I mean, where who's your S SP one. I think we're both in agreement. It's rod Don or Verlander, right? Was that? Speaker 1 00:32:50 Yeah, I'm gonna go Verlander save the 500 for me personally. Speaker 2 00:32:53 Okay. That's fine. I'm in with ver lender Speaker 1 00:32:55 And then I would go free just cuz he's a little bit cheaper than Golin but I'm fine with both. I think both those guys present. Speaker 2 00:33:02 You let's do that. I'm sorry. I think that's, I think that's a super safe. Speaker 1 00:33:06 If we come to sort of any sort of cash issue, I moved to Pablo Lopez at 81. Okay. Or if we really want to get value SW as at 66. So I think that's the three tiers that I would approach this. Speaker 2 00:33:18 Yeah. I mean, I don't think we need to go below Lopez in this build cuz I think we're gonna play Nate low. Speaker 1 00:33:24 Yeah. Grham is at 2300. Speaker 2 00:33:26 Nathan, Nathaniel. Sorry, Nathan. That was Nathan Speaker 1 00:33:28 District. So do you freed or Golin for you? Speaker 2 00:33:31 If this is a tournament build iland a little bit, more's say the three, let's just save the 300 with free. Let's just save the hundred. Speaker 1 00:33:39 I'm gonna lock innate Nathaniel, if you're cool with that. Speaker 2 00:33:42 Yep. And I think VA Speaker 1 00:33:44 For us it's second base. Speaker 2 00:33:45 Look, I really like Braman in this spot. Speaker 1 00:33:49 Yep. I'll go Braman. That's fine. I Speaker 2 00:33:51 Agree with that. I think he was the best third baseman spend up. And I think third base is generally one of those positions where like you don't always have to spend up, but like there's always an elite option after their Speaker 1 00:34:03 Face. Sure. At Karo we should probably look to spend Downing, maybe go Darnell at 30, 30 as, as of now we have 3,800 a player Speaker 2 00:34:11 It's Darnell or it's making Speaker 1 00:34:13 Yeah. Darnell's a little bit cheaper. Right. And you get the potential stack there with, with gristly Speaker 2 00:34:18 Darnell is cheaper. Yep. Speaker 1 00:34:20 Uh, so I think we'll again, we could potentially save $1,100 if we go to, but with Lopez, we'll see where we're at. So we have $4,000 per position. We have shortstop in three outfield spots to go. Shortstop was a spot where we didn't find a ton of value, but you did like Jeremy pay yet at 30, $3,800. Crawford was 33. Speaker 2 00:34:38 I'm thinking maybe we go to outfield first? Sure. Speaker 1 00:34:42 Okay. Roja is nine too, but we can, yeah, we can run out to Speaker 2 00:34:45 We'll find, I feel like we'll find our value. Speaker 1 00:34:47 And who is the value outfielder that you had liked there? We ha we have obviously McCarthys at 31 against easily Speaker 2 00:34:54 Or DY. Tivas 20 Speaker 1 00:34:56 To get the Coors field exposure there. I Speaker 2 00:34:58 Like that. I know mark bat against lefties. Leo. Sure. Switch hits Speaker 1 00:35:04 Was the stronger split. Looking Speaker 2 00:35:05 That up right now. The stronger split is I was let down when I originally looked so the stronger split. That's Speaker 1 00:35:14 Not what we want it to be. Speaker 2 00:35:15 It's no, I was let down by, uh, the internet he hits. He's really good against both 2 91 against righties. Sure. Speaker 1 00:35:23 All right. $2,800. Leos gives us $4,400 a position Speaker 2 00:35:27 For shortstop and two outfielders. Right? Speaker 1 00:35:28 Short stop and two outfielders. Yeah. Who is our top outfielder? That you'd liked. You liked Jordon to pair with Bregman, right? Or? Speaker 2 00:35:35 Yeah. Do you wanna run that mini stack? Yeah. With Jordan. I mean, if we're playing Bregman, I think more Astros. The better against Aaron Sanchez. Speaker 1 00:35:42 Do you want Jordon at 57 or Tucker at 47? How much? How much do you, Speaker 2 00:35:47 How much do you like the, how much do you like the Astros? Speaker 1 00:35:50 I don't mind the Astros they're home and we talk about Sanchez. Like I'm fine with going against them. Speaker 2 00:35:55 I cow Tucker's one of those dudes you could just, when he's hot, like you can Speaker 1 00:35:58 Play him. Yeah's 72 right now at a thousands. Yeah. I would say let's see. 4,700. That's 42 50. I wanna get a blue Jay in this lineup somewhere. Where Speaker 2 00:36:10 Do we got off? Where does, what does spring's price Speaker 1 00:36:12 Bringer his day to day though? Speaker 2 00:36:14 Day to day. Always Speaker 1 00:36:16 Day to they, if he's in the lineup, like I would play Springer that would give us 30 to a hundred for shortstop. And we would just play like Roja as a punch shortstop at 2,900 or something like that. Speaker 2 00:36:25 Or do you like, would you play Boche he's I know you mentioned him. Cause he has been so bad. He's Speaker 1 00:36:32 Been so bad. Like he's been like very, he's just been very bad, but like it's Winkowski doesn't miss bats. He has like the lowest strikeout, like swing and MIS percentage. Maybe we've maybe Toronto. Isn't the core play. We don't have any Mets in there. Either. Lindo is Speaker 2 00:36:46 That's interesting. The Mets are kind of sneaky. That's what I'm saying. That's not like sneaky, sneaky, Speaker 1 00:36:51 But we can't really afford them and all well, you know what? If we take out Tucker, would you just do one offs? Would you do a one off Lin, one off Bregman that gives us $3,700 an outfielder for two outfielders. Speaker 2 00:37:05 I don't hate that. And you don't have to do Mets if or Mets one off we could play. You gotta tell me your thoughts. I mean, we don't have to, but can item written up in Monday's playbook really good this year against right handed pitching. Speaker 1 00:37:18 Where have they been hitting him in the order? Speaker 2 00:37:20 I think they hit him sixth or seventh. It's not the best two man stack. He hit seventh. Speaker 1 00:37:29 Okay. We put McCarthy in there at 31 gives us 4,300 cuz TAs is 41. Harris is 41. We can go with the three man. End of the order. Atlanta stack Darnell Grissom. Speaker 2 00:37:42 That's a nice way Speaker 1 00:37:44 To be different. Right? Speaker 2 00:37:45 That's an interesting way to be different. I don't hate that Speaker 1 00:37:48 Verdugo. I mean again, Harris is really good. I mean that's a, a pretty strong line, but you mentioned Cassian is hot. He's got a lefty. I don't, I know you said Lolo's good, but I'm just like, you know, Speaker 2 00:37:56 No he's been no, but he's been bad against righties. Sure. Also let's go casts. Yeah. Let's get exposure. I mean, we got 15 games to get exposure to here. I Speaker 1 00:38:05 Agree with you. All right. So there it is. So then we have Verlander free, assuming we don't wanna go down to Lopez. Right? Cause if we go down to Lopez, we could get a 5k out field or something like that. So you're obviously something to discuss, but Verlander, freed Darnell, low Grum, Bregman Linor Leotis McCarthy and Castanos. That's Leodis Tovaris for those listening. Cuz I Speaker 2 00:38:29 Like it. I like it. I would Speaker 1 00:38:31 Right. If you go down again, a problem we can get, we have Speaker 2 00:38:35 Tucker over Catano Speaker 1 00:38:38 Yeah, yeah. If we go down to Pablo 81, Castanos is 56. We're a hundred dollars off Joon of course, because that would be the Chuck. That's what we, that would be Speaker 2 00:38:50 Too easy. Right? That'd Speaker 1 00:38:51 Be too. Um, but we could, I mean, we could move off McCarthy, like you said, and find a three K outfielder, uh, at the throw in there and make that stack cab in Fran mill is that three K. Who did you mention the other down to that range? A new bar. You new bar, right? New bar. 27 could be a guy in that range. So Speaker 2 00:39:09 I don't hate that the Cardinal's gonna just garner no love because they were, they scored one run on an Albert PO's home Speaker 1 00:39:17 Run. So that's probably your, I guess that's your pivot then if you're not gonna go freed, if you want to get your on with Bregman, you could kind of punt with NT bar there. I think presum he's leading off. You could punt with Newt bar there. So yep. But I would go back to what we did. You know, Casian obviously has the double dong home run upside. Freed's been great. So I think that's a spot too, to go with Castanos and we'll stick with McCarthy, your guy there gets on base. He can run, he hit a home run the other day. Certainly something to do. So final recap, Justin Verlander, max free Travis DAU at catcher, Nathaniel Lowe at first base V Grham at second base, Alex Breman at third Francisco Lindor short Yotis TV Aris at outfield, Nick Castanos in the outfield. And it was a Jake McCarthy at the, uh, Jay McCarthy. Yeah. And is wrapping it up there got 200 bucks left over. So gonna go ahead and hit, enter into that. Now obviously I played our lineup. We made last night, it's cashing, I'll play the lineup that we're in now as well. And we will go from that is all for everybody. If any final thoughts to what's going on here? Speaker 2 00:40:16 No, nothing good pot, big slate. You know, a lot of decisions to make, but just, you know, you and everybody else are making those decisions. So don't play, I would say final advice. Don't play out of your comfort zone on a 15 game slate, right? In terms of dollars, you know, play within it. Don't go crazy. There's just so much variance on, on sites like this. It's very hard, especially when cores, you know, just sprinkling a little cores on top of everything Speaker 1 00:40:41 Too. So, yep. I agree with that. 100%. If you have any questions, we'll be in the discord answering you're answering what you got help you with the lineups there. I think Justin Reland is on the playbook. He'll be there obviously lead you guys to hopefully another successful night, but for James and I, we will all catch you guys later.
