Speaker 0 00:00:00 Ladies and John, you're listening to the fantasy alarm, MLB DFS podcast with host John IBA and James Grande. Speaker 1 00:00:11 What is going on a nation? John PBE with James Grande. This is the quick pitch lb DFS podcast recording here for Friday's mean slate. James Fridays are always one of the bigger slates of the week. We have 13 games that we're looking at here, at least for now we may have some weather popping up. I know along the east coast, we're expecting some rain. We'll obviously get the, uh, the early morning report currently recording here on Thursday evening. But again, living up in the Northeast myself, I know we're expected to get some rain around Massachusetts, Baltimore, Philadelphia, New York for those games could potentially see some rain. Be sure to check out the weather in the morning as you're listening to this in the afternoon and leading up to roster lock to make sure that your players and lineups are not being impacted. Speaker 2 00:00:55 13 games, Johnny 13 ball games, Speaker 1 00:01:00 13 games, a good player pool, some interesting pitching matchups, some interesting prices on certain pitchers. Speaker 2 00:01:07 Interesting relievers pitching here, Speaker 1 00:01:08 John. Uh, yeah, also draftings listing some pitchers as relievers as well for no, uh, no reason whatsoever. So let's get into it. Cause we got a lot to talk about. Dylan. Cease is your top price pitch on draft Kings at $10,400. He's had at times some like inconsistent outings, but the numbers are great. If he can just control the walks, it allows him to pitch a little bit deeper into games. Hasn't allowed more than an earned run. And since when, since some May 24th, hasn't allowed more than one earned run. And it's single outing since May 24th. Yeah. Speaker 2 00:01:41 That's a long time ago. It's a long time ago. That's a we're in August, right? Speaker 1 00:01:45 June and July are gone. So in two months he hasn't allowed more than one earn run in a single start in two months. Yep. That being said, he's had a handful of starts where he went less than five innings. Pitch counts are up there. He throws a lot of pitches. If you're betting player props tomorrow probably bet the over a hundred. If that's the number you get on his pitch count, cuz he tends to throw a lot of strikes, tends to throw a lot of balls. He strikes out a lot of guys tends to lead to a lot of strikeouts. Speaker 2 00:02:11 Yeah. I guess he has been pitching deep into games a little bit deeper, I guess, than normal 6, 6, 7 innings five, Speaker 1 00:02:18 Six success one walk one, walk two, watch a lot of them get deeper. Speaker 2 00:02:22 So yeah, it's hard not to cease in current form when you just don't allow runs. Like I don't know if that's the secret sauce. I think don't Speaker 1 00:02:29 Allow runs to get wins. Speaker 2 00:02:30 I think that's a good recipe for success, John, maybe you and I would be major league pitchers. If we invented that tragedy, Texas strikes outed 24% rate over the last month against right-handed pitching league average and ops league average in ISO slightly below league average in ISO I think. Yeah. I think this is a splitable matchable matchup. And I think one that we could play cease Speaker 1 00:02:50 In other 10 K prize player, nester, Cortez. He has ten one. He is a lefty. He is going up against St. Louis. We saw the Cardinals, the handle left-handed pitching earlier today as we're again recording here Thursday evening. Speaker 2 00:03:03 Uh, I think both games, right? Speaker 1 00:03:05 Yeah. Do you play Cortez here? No. Or maybe a contrarian only option for you? Speaker 2 00:03:10 I don't know, man, like seats for 300 more and then number for 200 less in a much better spot. Yeah. Feels better. I guess Speaker 1 00:03:21 It seems like draftings doesn't know who Cleveland is pitching. Cuz they've given us both Mackenzie and Bieber. Speaker 2 00:03:26 One of those, huh? Speaker 1 00:03:27 Oh, they've given us all of their starters. So drafting's bugging right now. Speaker 2 00:03:30 No I have. Okay. I maybe you need to refresh. I have. Okay. I have McCarthy, Kirk McCarthy, but he pitched today. So that's Speaker 1 00:03:40 I just refreshed. Okay. And they're literally showing me all of their pitchers, a little bug here on draftings when it comes to, uh, comes to the Cleveland starters Bieber pitch yesterday. So it won't be him. Mackenzie pitched two days ago. Won't be him please. Sack pitch today. Maybe Cal Quantro. No he pitched on Monday. Speaker 2 00:04:02 Maybe they're gonna call someone up. Speaker 1 00:04:03 Oh they throw Pilkington at us. No ping. Didn got option. Speaker 2 00:04:06 They might have to call someone up. I don't know how else would they what's the what's their other option here? Speaker 1 00:04:12 Yeah, it could be Pilkington. They make maybe they call 'em up. So as of we're listening to this right now, we don't have a projected starter for Cleveland cuz draft Kings. I was just showing us their entire roster. So either way, it's not like we would throw one of them against Houston. Anyways. Framburg gets Cleveland. We saw Verlander have a good outing tonight against them. He's at 9,900. I don't wanna throw anybody against San Diego anymore. Goland to 97, but I'm certainly not doing that. Not gonna throw Anaya against the Dodgers personally. No Ty walkers at the $9,100 against Atlanta. Speaker 2 00:04:41 Yeah. I think the clear cut spend up here. John are cease and ER, and then I think we just funnel down to Speaker 1 00:04:51 Staffs at Robbie. Ray maybe. Speaker 2 00:04:53 Yeah. Look Robbie. Ray. He's been, Speaker 1 00:04:54 He's been terrible. Speaker 2 00:04:55 He's been terrible. But John, what is the kicker here? We get the angels. He has a 10 strikeout outing against the angels. He has how many, Speaker 1 00:05:03 The angels had seven who runs today and lost. Speaker 2 00:05:05 So that's yeah, go two best players in baseball. And they're still just a Dr. Like the most dreadful franchise around. He has Robbie. Ray has 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 games of 10 or more strikeouts. This year. There is tremendous upside. I think this is a spot that they can attack and use him in. So I'm okay with Robbie Ray here. Also not gonna play Tyler, Molly, even though I love the landing spot for Tyler, Molly, like great landing spot for him. Not playing him. Speaker 1 00:05:32 Not because I agree. $8,500. Speaker 2 00:05:35 Yeah. That's interesting. Speaker 1 00:05:36 Two, two starts against Philadelphia. 12 innings. Just two earn runs. Allow 15 strikeouts. Speaker 2 00:05:42 Yeah. And what, and he had 11 just almost a month. A month to Friday. He had yeah. Strike 11 strikeout. Yeah. 11 strikeouts, two earned. What's gonna be Josiah gray. John. The home run, right? Like the home run ball 24 home runs in 19 starts. Even Philly took him deep twice. Speaker 1 00:06:01 Two solo shots. Got lucky Speaker 2 00:06:03 Two solo shots. If he can limit the home runs it's I'm on the Josiah gray bandwagon. Speaker 1 00:06:09 He's either missing bats or they're squaring him up. That's what it is. Yep. Speaker 2 00:06:13 Yep. But I'm largely with you also. I would definitely take a shot at Corey Kluber whose pitch? I know he is allowed four earned in three straight starts had 10 strikeouts last game. And then the two starts prior to his little like four run skid, both against Boston. Two earned runs over 12 innings. So I think maybe some clue bot against the tigers. So we know only hit lefties. Yeah. Speaker 1 00:06:32 Kluber's not bad. Eric. Lauer's home. I've talked about this all season long, 2 85 home era this year. I know it's a lefty against Cincinnati, but they just traded away their best hitter in Brandon jury Speaker 2 00:06:44 And Tommy fam best hitter the league. Right? Best hitter in the league. Brandon drew. True. Let me re let me just like Speaker 1 00:06:51 Not did lefty masher. Brandon jury Speaker 2 00:06:54 Noted lefty matcher, but yeah. Fam is a big loss against lefties too. Sure. I like that. Call John. I like the Lauer call. Speaker 1 00:07:00 Yeah. Log. Lauer's good at home. And you're getting, I think a softer matchup here. Speaker 2 00:07:04 I know Tyler Stevenson. We know Tyler. Stevenson's not available for the reds. Like they're just, Speaker 1 00:07:09 Yep. We got a little revenge game narrative for Barry arts. I think the last time we called this one, he also pitched really well. He did 13 strikeouts against Minnesota in that game, over seven innings. He's coming off a seven inning one earn run six strikeout game against Detroit. And I brought up to you a few podcasts ago. Right? He, he changed his arm slot angle. And since then he is been pretty damn good. Hasn't been perfect. But he is been way better than he was in the first half of the, or first that middle stretch there where he was just getting hammered. I'd be willing to, I'd be willing to give him a throw here against Minnesota. Speaker 2 00:07:38 Yeah. I mean it's night and day from the getting stages of the year five street starts Speaker 1 00:07:43 Five. Yeah. Almost quality starts and five. Speaker 2 00:07:45 Yeah. I was gonna say he's one, one out away from five straight quality starts. No problem. Playing burials torn still torments only. Yeah. We like the production to strike out. Have been good. Six more in that's Speaker 1 00:07:55 Allowed one home run in five straight games Speaker 2 00:07:56 And Minnesota has some Thumper. I agree on the bur front for torments. For sure. Speaker 1 00:08:01 Let's see. Deval had decent numbers against Seattle. This year. Two starts actually back to back, starts for 11 ings. He allowed one run in each of those outings. 11 strikeouts. So two, Speaker 2 00:08:11 You don't have to pitch me on. You don't have to bid him a Patrick. Sandoval's true. How a truther. So that's true. Speaker 1 00:08:17 He's have to win though, right? Speaker 2 00:08:18 Yes. Nice dude. He even look at the poor guy, five straight losses. He has five runs of support in his last five games. Yeah. Speaker 1 00:08:29 Total getting the Jacob Drom treatment Speaker 2 00:08:32 Is that worse? That's even worse than the Jacob DRO Speaker 1 00:08:35 Treatment had aro came right back, had a great outing and they give him a note. Speaker 2 00:08:38 Terrible. Maybe you can't go there cuz he just doesn't win. Interesting. What are your thoughts on the starters in Baltimore, Pittsburgh, maybe like maybe more Mitch Keller for me, Mitch Keller has been kind of good. John last 10 starts three 30 era, 14 and a half fantasy points per game. Almost a strikeout printing. We do respect the Baltimore offense. Austin Hayes day to day. They traded away. Speaker 1 00:09:03 No man know Speaker 2 00:09:04 Mancini. Yeah. Traded away Mancini. I know said Speaker 1 00:09:07 I Don, because of how big that left field is. Speaker 2 00:09:09 Yeah. And it's a good, yeah. And it's, I don't wanna say an elite pitchers park, but it's become AER friendly park for sure. Speaker 1 00:09:15 Especially home run the other day would've been out in 24 or 30 stadiums and of course one of those that were wouldn't have been was Baltimore. So Speaker 2 00:09:23 I just think Keller's. Who else would you play under seven. K. Is there anyone? I know you're a Winkowski guy and he has been pitching well, but it hasn't really translated to like fantasy. I Speaker 1 00:09:33 Mean, strike I the last, who starts is not gonna get it done Speaker 2 00:09:36 For you. What is the, is there anyone else under seven K you'd play? Speaker 1 00:09:40 Probably no. And I wouldn't even really go creamer here either. Speaker 2 00:09:44 Yeah. I probably wouldn't either. Speaker 1 00:09:46 It just, I'd rather just, I want the lefty versus or if you wanna be like a really different Herman marque again, better road numbers for two era on the road versus a six era at home. A couple starts against Arizona this year. Haven't been awful. Three, four eras averaging 18 fantasy points against Arizona just pitched in Arizona seven innings, two earn runs in that game. Yeah. I think actually both, fortunately for both starts have been in Arizona. So those numbers that I quoted you both at Arizona Speaker 2 00:10:20 And you've mentioned it a bunch about Arizona's like offense being better. Hasn't been the case lately. 17th. Speaker 1 00:10:26 Well they're better against luck. Did they have really good numbers against lefthanded pitching Speaker 2 00:10:30 Against righties over the last month? 17th in ops they're subpar in I isolated power. The K rate is not great. Their walk rate is pretty good. So like some goods, some bad they traded Paralta for what that's worth. That's I think he's the only one they traded. Yeah. Speaker 1 00:10:49 So I'm also, I've said this to you a few times. Like Bumgarner's underlying numbers are terrible. Right? Actually what does this okay. Yeah. Yeah. Nevermind. He's good. He'll he's gonna start. He didn't he was pulled from his last, he was scheduled to start last time out, but they pulled him Speaker 2 00:11:05 So Wednesday, Wednesday. Speaker 1 00:11:06 Yeah. I saw it quickly. It says no longer listed as a starter, but that was for Wednesday. Yeah. Listen, he's been managing skirt by on just some horrible underlying statistics. He walks a bunch of guys. He doesn't strike anybody out. He's just been getting super lucky with balls in play home. Run home runs have been favorable to him as well. We know Colorado hits lefties, but he just faced car lot Colorado at home. Seven ins two aren't he's it's got he's gonna get blown up. It's gonna happen. He should have gotten hit harder against Atlanta truthfully than he did. That's another reason why I think marque could be interested that offense could finally have Bogar or sort of fall back down a little bit and get him a w yeah. Speaker 2 00:11:47 BU Speaker 1 00:11:48 I don't want Bogar I'm talking about, Speaker 2 00:11:50 But marque. Yeah, no, I know. I'm just thinking of like the matchup in general. Yeah. I do think Colorado's offense generally hits lefties except Blake snow. When he goes, when he shuts him down in San Diego and some people were portray against Blake snow, not gonna, Speaker 1 00:12:03 Senator's got an expected era this year, 4.97 a 4 8 1. XIB a four, six E four, six fi. But he is pitching to a three eight era. You know, there's only got a 10% home run to fly ball rate. He just he's been, he is been pretty fortunate this year. So I just, he, he can guys do it. They pitch against their SA metric numbers all the time. But you, at some point he's he is the numbers should equal after where he gets blown up. So Speaker 2 00:12:30 I'm with you. All Speaker 1 00:12:30 Right. So that's pitcher going to catcher, getting a lot of options here. If you wanna spend up, you can w D Smith gets a lefty savvy Perez Homer tonight when Kowski is there not gonna strike anybody out, gonna pitch to contact. So certainly can go in that direction. Same thing with MJ. Melinda is also Homer tonight. Same scenario there against when Kowski top price guys are there. Elis D is in mid tiered, $4,200. We talk about Cal row all the time. Big power numbers against lefthanded pitching this year. Homerun, nothing guy pretty much, but <laugh> I, if you wanted to go there, you could at the mid, the 4k range players like that are Speaker 2 00:13:04 4k. John, you know where I'm going? Speaker 1 00:13:06 Me take a quick peek. Speaker 2 00:13:07 So you don't have to, you don't have to go much further below 4k. I know it's not a lefty, but I'm just playing Carson Kelly, like every, Speaker 1 00:13:14 Oh, okay, Speaker 2 00:13:14 Dude. He is, he has been like pretty good, like consistently. Speaker 1 00:13:20 Yeah. For about a month or so. It feels like we've talked about Speaker 2 00:13:22 Him. I like that. And if you're gonna play against Robbie, Ray, maybe some max Stassy. If you continue to believe that Robbie Ray is just trash. Maybe some max Stasi 3,700. I don't think you need to. But I also don't see a lot of guys below that price point. I actually lied. Jose Travino, lock it in. Speaker 1 00:13:43 I literally just clicked on Travino. I was like, he's not gonna mention his guy. Speaker 2 00:13:46 No Jose Travino 2,700 lock it in. I mean that, that guy is stressed. He deserved the all star bid. I'll say that in different year catcher where catcher's like relevant. Sure. Like this year it's been terrible, but he has been awesome. So 2,700 that's your cash catcher, right? There was Speaker 1 00:14:04 Go to first base goal to get to lefty. Speaker 2 00:14:06 Yeah. Do we play him against a good lefty? Yeah. You can be contrarian. That'll be nobody. Nobody plays him. Right? Nobody would play 'em at that price Speaker 1 00:14:16 Is Anan Anderson. The Speaker 2 00:14:18 Right. He's a reverse splits. Yeah. You're Speaker 1 00:14:20 Over this all the time. It's he's definitely rightey that go after him. Isn't Speaker 2 00:14:24 It? Alonzo hit another home run today. So it's three in the last two straight three of the last four. I like Speaker 1 00:14:31 It, John. Right? Rightey is 3 85. WOBA three 17 batting average this year. Five 12 slugging against Ian Anderson. Speaker 2 00:14:39 Yeah. Yeah. And you wanna talk about someone who, who Speaker 1 00:14:42 Is SL 0.6? Home runs per nine. A lot. Speaker 2 00:14:44 Yeah. And uh, Peter Lonzo is the definition of a Slugger. So I'm trying to see if there's any BVP here. Yeah. Speaker 1 00:14:51 Lefty Lefty's by the way against Anderson 2 0 2 on the year. So 2 75. WOBA just to throw that into some context for you. I definitely want the righty bats here. Speaker 2 00:15:01 That's interesting. Huh? Alonzo against right-handed bats as well. John 3 76 WOBA he's hit 21 home runs this year against right-handed right-handed batters or handed pictures. Speaker 1 00:15:13 Oh yeah. That feels decent. If you want to go against and Anderson. Actually. No, no good BVP though. Two for 10. Speaker 2 00:15:18 Yeah. I was just looking, I did the same thing I was just looking to Speaker 1 00:15:21 And his career. Let's see. Does anybody have some good numbers here? Let's see Speaker 2 00:15:25 For the Mets. They don't. Speaker 1 00:15:27 Yeah. James McCann. The only one, five for nine. So Speaker 2 00:15:31 James McCann, Speaker 1 00:15:33 Who is off the IL. Yeah, Speaker 2 00:15:34 Sure is. Speaker 1 00:15:36 So despite all odds, Ian, Anderson's managed to pitch well against, uh, against the nuts, but yeah, Denver's definitely trend towards an Alonzo potential game there. Rowdy at home. We talk about this one. Often a lot of power here. 5,100 though. So yeah. Pick your poison. I I'd rather gore you again. If we're going at 49. Speaker 2 00:15:54 I Anthony Rizzo. 4,700. Speaker 1 00:15:55 Yeah. I put Rizzo andr flip a coin for me. They're both kind of the same guy at this point, in Speaker 2 00:16:00 My opinion. Yep. Agreed. Yep. Both. A lot of power upside. Yep. Yep. I would say Rizzo's in better form, but I do agree that Speaker 1 00:16:08 Yeah. Chrome good. Uh, trying to see what is we know Dr. I grade gives up home runs. I'm trying to see if he has a Speaker 2 00:16:14 It's the lefty lefties. Is it? Yeah. It's lefty split for sure. Lefties have been crushing him this year. So lefties against Josiah gray this year nine 50 ops 4 0 5. WOBA Speaker 1 00:16:29 Yeah. That's those are good numbers. You have 15 of his 24 home runs allowed, have gone against Speaker 2 00:16:35 Lefthanded. The crazy part is, has he faced, has he faced more righty? Bats or Speaker 1 00:16:42 Lefthand? Yeah, 239 righties versus 1 98 lefties. Speaker 2 00:16:46 And that's still given up more. That's always, I always feel like that's like a telltale sign, shorter four for eight, two bombs. The BVP against him. But yeah. Was that a Hoskins? Was that a Hoskins thought? Cause Speaker 1 00:17:00 He doesn't discriminate from strikeouts though. It's a 10.4 K per nine against both, which is kind of interesting. Speaker 2 00:17:06 We talked about that literally last night on the pod with hall versus Hoskins. Remember that? Yeah. And we talked about the split and what did Hoskins do tonight? Hit a home run before the game was postponed, obviously, but hits a home run. They might be reversed on Friday. Right? The split says Derek call is the better play compared to Speaker 1 00:17:26 Yep. Good point there. So that's your, that's kind of your mid tier options here? I would still, I would consider Luke Voit. Just the matchup against Gibson. Alex righties. Let's see. Speaker 2 00:17:36 Mancini is still $3,100. We don't know who's pitching for Cleveland, but you narrowed down the options. It's not gonna be Speaker 1 00:17:44 <laugh> right. Not gonna be Bieber Mackenzie, which is the two best guys. Speaker 2 00:17:47 Yeah. So 3,100 feels too cheap. Speaker 1 00:17:51 Yep. Speaker 2 00:17:51 I'm with you. Anyone under three K or yeah, under three Speaker 1 00:17:55 K. Who is, are the red Sox playing at six o'clock Speaker 2 00:17:58 Tomorrow? No, the red Sox are on slate. They play gr oh yeah. Speaker 1 00:18:01 Okay. Where's ER, ER's cranky maybe. Speaker 2 00:18:05 Yeah. ER's just been better against fluffy. Weirdly. True. Like significantly Speaker 1 00:18:09 Kansas, Kansas. City's not a great hitters park either. Speaker 2 00:18:12 Yeah. Yep. Yeah. I don't think there's much value. I think Mancini's good enough value man. Speaker 1 00:18:16 Derek hall. Speaker 2 00:18:17 Yep. Mancini Derek hall. Agreed. Speaker 1 00:18:19 Okay. Second base was Speaker 2 00:18:20 If you're spinning up on Astros Altuve. Yep. If you're spinning up on Yankees, I think Dakota, Hudson is another reverse split guy this year. Check that out. I know GLS been better against lefties. Yeah, but Speaker 1 00:18:32 Brandon Rogers, by the way, four 70 over the last 10. Speaker 2 00:18:35 Yeah. He's nuts. And he crushes lefties. He's been a large part of my, uh, my push and one and I think F do I have Brandon Rogers? No, I have the other two. I have Kone and McMan, but Dakota, Hudson splits against righties. 2 93 against 800 will PS three 40 WOBA Sola and play Speaker 1 00:18:54 Tigers are a pitching. Brian Garcia. Brandon allow sitting there Speaker 2 00:18:58 Homer again tonight. Yep. Guys just hitting bombs. 24 7. Let's Speaker 1 00:19:03 See. Golden Wongs probably fine. 42. Speaker 2 00:19:06 Who is it? Steven Dugger. Is that or Robert Dugger is the Speaker 1 00:19:09 Pitcher. Yes. Dugger is the outfielder. Speaker 2 00:19:11 Robert. He has made three appearances this year. Pretty decent strikeout numbers, John. But he faced fit Pittsburgh twice in Tampa bay. Yeah. Colton longs. Good. If you're not in on Dean Kramer, Pittsburgh leads has been leading off Kevin Newman. Speaker 1 00:19:29 Okay. Speaker 2 00:19:30 Three of the last six games. He has 15 plus fantasy points. Speaker 1 00:19:33 Yeah. Hands are Alberta against a lefty Speaker 2 00:19:35 Story as all this time. Speaker 1 00:19:37 And he's still doing it. Two hits. And each of the last two times he is appeared in games. Two hits the other day on the second. He's saying three 70, but a nine 20 ops. Those last 10 games spanning 27 at bats. Okay. I've told you that Manai is not very good right now. Speaker 2 00:19:51 Yeah. You've been targeting Shawn manna for like months. Speaker 1 00:19:56 Yeah. They keep par. They keep pricing him in this elite pitcher category range. I'm like, he's not pitching that guys. You can go ahead and have no problem playing at Shawn. Manaya you'll be fine. Speaker 2 00:20:04 We talked about our boy down here. The Royal second base. When Massey. Yes. At two K I believe. And I'm looking this up cuz we don't, they don't have the numbers up yet. I think he stole a base. Speaker 1 00:20:18 He did seal a base and he had a hit Speaker 2 00:20:21 Two K did he? He didn't score no run score Speaker 1 00:20:23 Or anything? No run score. Just a single and a stolen base. So just still enough that's nine fancy points or something. Speaker 2 00:20:28 He hit eight. Yeah. Eight on nine on draft or nine on Fandel. Eight on draft Kings. I mean hit sixth too. We were talking about, I think last night we said he hit seventh. So he got a little boost still two K right? Still. I would say that's fairly decent. Speaker 1 00:20:44 Yeah. I'm trying to see if there's some David Fletcher BVP here against it's Robbie Ray or not just quick, little quick little looky. No. Okay. I felt like Fletcher last year. I'm just making an lefties. Yeah. 3 16, 7 80 ops against lefties last year for Fletcher. Speaker 2 00:21:01 Yeah, just a 16 at bat sample this year. So like just not enough data to like, he still could be that guy. Speaker 1 00:21:07 Yeah. I hear you. All right, let's go over next position. Third, the crem Derem Speaker 2 00:21:13 Yeah. Always the crem Speaker 1 00:21:14 Deal. The best players that play baseball right now are pretty much playing third base. Speaker 2 00:21:17 Brandon jury, Speaker 1 00:21:18 Brandon and jury. Tommy. The list Speaker 2 00:21:20 Should have hit a second home run tonight, right? With two games Speaker 1 00:21:23 On the team. Hilliard robbed him. You're probably not gonna play Ramirez against Valdez. You're probably not gonna play Arnad against Cortez. You can Riley. Definitely Taiwan. I like that. Even though Walker's been playing really well. Speaker 2 00:21:34 You're definitely playing devils against gr I know. And I know GRS Speaker 1 00:21:38 Throw hard enough for Deborahs. That's a legitimate question, Speaker 2 00:21:41 Right? Deborah's gonna pull his back out. So antsy for yeah. Speaker 1 00:21:45 If he's just getting soft stuff, does dev get the bat speed and the power to hit anything out. But I'm just saying like, Speaker 2 00:21:51 Do I know this hard hitting BVP? Speaker 1 00:21:54 Yeah. What? We got Speaker 2 00:21:55 One for two, Speaker 1 00:21:56 One for two. Was it a home run? Speaker 2 00:21:58 No it wasn't. But he has a 4 33 mob against right. Him pitching. So I will play Rafael devs against that cranky. Alex Speaker 1 00:22:04 Braman against the pitch should be named later for Cleveland. That works for me. Let's see Chapman against ma cuz why not? Speaker 2 00:22:11 Why do white Sox third baseman get this treatment. <laugh> why is Jake burger? 4,500 and Joon. Manata 4,800. I don't know. Like what did they Speaker 1 00:22:21 Dota had his golden some bro tonight. Three strikeouts. Speaker 2 00:22:24 So shocker. Yeah. We're both shocked. Josh Rojas. I like Josh Rojas. I also like the other Josh Donaldson. He's on the road. He only hits on the road, which is Speaker 1 00:22:34 Weird. He, he would take advantage of the right field, but Speaker 2 00:22:37 I it's also, I think people just can't hit it. Like just can't play under the bright light sometimes. That's why Joey gal is gonna succeed so well in the unpopulated Los Angeles area. Yeah, they don't. There's no people in Los Angeles at all. Why would Joey Gallo not succeed there? If you're playing Tampa bay at Yandy Diaz is one of your favorite DFS plays. Speaker 1 00:22:58 I fell asleep. While you were saying that Speaker 2 00:23:00 He is who do we used to? Who do I used to compare in the NBA? White bread to oh Kyle Anderson. I think Yandy Diaz is the Kyle Anderson of MLB DFS. Is that a fair comparison? Speaker 1 00:23:12 Yeah, probably. Who was the guy in the thunder that literally did nothing ever Roberson, something Speaker 2 00:23:17 Like that. Andre Roberson. <laugh> I like that one too. That's 30 minutes. The Andre Roberson of 30 Speaker 1 00:23:23 Minutes of nothing. Speaker 2 00:23:24 Sometimes 35. Got Speaker 1 00:23:26 He looks at Tony Snell and says, man, you put a lot of effort in today. I Speaker 2 00:23:29 Can't Speaker 1 00:23:29 That's shout about Roberson though. He, he got hurt. He think he had an injury in his career. So Speaker 2 00:23:33 Yeah, it has never hasn't played since never played since I like Bo Speaker 1 00:23:36 Home. You, you just play Bo right now. Yeah. It's not the best run for him, but like the dude just rocking. So yeah. Speaker 2 00:23:42 Yep. Same thing with the led. Miss Speaker 1 00:23:45 Was Speaker 2 00:23:45 Now part base, Speaker 1 00:23:46 Probably playing both of your riots brothers, if you want. Speaker 2 00:23:49 Yep. Both of your eyes brothers agreed. Gary Hamson only hits lefties, but they called up. See, did they send him back down Montero? He started over Hamson the other day. I'm not gonna, I'm not gonna butcher his first names. I'm not, gonna' not gonna say it, but Monero started over Hamson so our dream for Garrett Hamson might be done. Fortunately, I don't know if you have anyone else on, Speaker 1 00:24:09 But no, that's it Speaker 2 00:24:10 Think he Lopez all two bases. If you wanna target your boy, Josh Winkowski Speaker 1 00:24:15 Yeah, that's true. They don't have Vasques back there anymore. So like yep. Probably. I don't think pucky or Reese McGuire or no defensive catchers. So Ellie's Vasquez was a good guy. You had a decent in our arm throwing guys out, so right. All right. Short stop. You got trade Turner. If you want to go there, he's just always super expensive. Speaker 2 00:24:35 I'm just ready to get to O'Neil cruise. Can we just Speaker 1 00:24:37 Skip? Hold on. Call from the other day. Yeah, we can go there if you want. Speaker 2 00:24:40 No dude. He's just like, I feel like there's he's just like breaking slates, right? Speaker 1 00:24:45 This under 5k range is actually pretty decent. Speaker 2 00:24:48 Yep. Agreed. I don't think we need to spend much time outside of trade Turner above 5k. Right? So Speaker 1 00:24:52 You played D trade Turner, but after that you got Bogarts you got wit. Speaker 2 00:24:56 Yep. Both those guys are good. Speaker 1 00:24:57 Yeah. If you wanted to throw Bache in there against Molly, you could O cruise, like you mentioned 42, a hundred. He's a lefty. So he doesn't have to worry about the 420 foot left field that is in Baltimore, right? Yep. And the guy's hitting balls in the river, Speaker 2 00:25:11 Dude. You saw the, that means you saw the home run. Oh my of course, dude, that home run was just and a kid special he's special. Speaker 1 00:25:19 We knew he was. So it's just a matter of time of getting him acclimated and pitchers. Gotta learn not to throw fast balls. Speaker 2 00:25:27 Yep. Agreed Speaker 1 00:25:28 To him. At least for now the bad speed is too elite. And when he makes contact, that ball is going to a different Speaker 2 00:25:34 Orbit. John, our favorite cheap shortstop is RO right now Speaker 1 00:25:39 Our favorite cheap shortstop. Speaker 2 00:25:42 Who's our, we have a 100% mention rate when the Baltimores are on the slate. Speaker 1 00:25:49 Oh mate. He's on my fantasy team in our league, man. He Homer, the other day Speaker 2 00:25:53 He hit two in that game. Speaker 1 00:25:55 Yeah. That's what I'm Speaker 2 00:25:56 Saying. And then the two games surrounding it, he has stolen bases. I mean he, at one point was a highly coveted prospect for the Yankees, like so much. He was like the key piece in the sunny gray trade. When the Yankee trade for gray to Oakland kind of showing it off right now. Right? Speaker 1 00:26:13 Yeah. I think he was in the most recent prospect report for Matt sells Speaker 2 00:26:17 Him. Who was there? Tim Becko Mateo Speaker 1 00:26:20 Jus and profile Speaker 2 00:26:21 And JSON profile. Yeah. That was a good, yeah. That was a good writeup. Yeah. Speaker 1 00:26:24 3,400 though. That's a good number. I like that. Jose laces versus lefty. Speaker 2 00:26:28 Yeah. You feel forever. Can't Speaker 1 00:26:29 Cannot Speaker 2 00:26:29 Go through forever. Forever. Cannot Speaker 1 00:26:32 Go through Speaker 2 00:26:32 A pod. Don't play ed gregarious. Cuz he's no longer employed. Speaker 1 00:26:36 Yeah. Anybody else? Speaker 2 00:26:37 Nope. A lot of guys in the outfield. Speaker 1 00:26:39 Who's a lot of guys in the outfield. Does he generally say find your outfield or pick the stack? Throw 'em in there. So you want go Tommy twice, even against a lefty? Sure. Why not? We won't stop you. Aaron judge shall rise. Pick you best, better against right knees. A sucks. Speaker 2 00:26:53 All rise. Speaker 1 00:26:54 Go for it. You on versus the Cleveland pitcher to be named later, probably gonna a Homer Speaker 2 00:26:59 Probably Speaker 1 00:26:59 Soto against. Goland not a great match up for soda, but ride the wave shores. We talked about lefties against Greg can sign us up for that one. Sure. Marte against Anderson righties against Anderson's the way to go. Speaker 2 00:27:10 Yep. Interesting stack right there. Huh? The Mets. Yeah. Probably not a lot of people. Not probably not let people go Marte 54 and the lawn's over 5k. You can't Speaker 1 00:27:19 Play Landor cuz he's gonna hit a lefthand. So Speaker 2 00:27:22 True. Speaker 1 00:27:22 True. What's the third piece. Are you just gonna mini Speaker 2 00:27:25 Mark, mark Canna. They Tyler NA lefties. I know the Mets did all this like good stuff or weird stuff of the deadline. That's like paying off NA one hit two home runs. VO B is Homer and two straight game for the Mets. Who's the third piece. They're all lefty. Sean. Yeah. Everyone else Speaker 1 00:27:42 He's in McCann if he's starting because he one, he actually has good BVP versus Anderson and he is right-handed Speaker 2 00:27:47 It's McCann and it's Canna. Is that your four? That's your four pack Speaker 1 00:27:52 Maybe? Speaker 2 00:27:53 Yeah. If can's in the lineup or Darren rough St. Speaker 1 00:27:56 Louis. Speaker 2 00:27:57 Ooh. Where he had like a good career Speaker 1 00:28:00 Was an he, I think he was like an MVP candidate one year. Speaker 2 00:28:03 Like he's slowed down. He has Speaker 1 00:28:05 AV, he was a fourth and PVV putting in 2013, 12th and 2015, ninth and 2018. So three times, top 12 MVP candidate. Speaker 2 00:28:16 He hasn't homered in three games. I don't really know what's wrong with him, Speaker 1 00:28:19 But you there's gonna be some emotion here. Speaker 2 00:28:21 Yeah. Yeah. There's gonna be a lot of emotion and we don't know if that's good or bad, but like emotion nonetheless. Yeah. Yeah man. I can get behind that. Speaker 1 00:28:28 Christian. Y's been hitting the ball really? Well. No power Speaker 2 00:28:31 Steels though. We're getting a couple stolen bases here. Two in the last five games leading off still. Yep. 40, like you said, it's tough to get there because there's no power and we can get there. I don't know what I'm saying. I can get there. Speaker 1 00:28:44 White Sox play today. What did, did Eloy do anything that they did? Speaker 2 00:28:48 The white Sox. They did play. Did play, played Speaker 1 00:28:51 The Rangers three, two loss four for Eloy. So I mean he had three hits in the two games prior to today. Speaker 2 00:28:59 Johnny Quato complete game allowed 11 hits, 11 hits. They did not care about him today. Yeah. You can play Eli. It's still too cheap. 4,300. Yeah. What's the split for Glen Otto here. Do we? Let's see, do we have a split for Glen Otto? What do you think? I think he's gonna be, I think he's worse against lefties. If memory, sir. It's not a good pitcher. Righties actually John to your Eli 0.3 15 average nine tens 3 99. WOBA news, flash white Sox have lot of writing. Speaker 1 00:29:32 All righties. Louis, Robert, Jose Brau. Andrew VA ILO Menez. Speaker 2 00:29:38 Tim Anderson. Yeah. A J Pollock. Like they have a lot of right hand. Speaker 1 00:29:43 Glen Atos. Lot. Four home runs over his last three games. Speaker 2 00:29:46 White talk sneaky. I know usually only like primarily I shouldn't say only, but primarily use them against last Speaker 1 00:29:52 7, 3, 9 home era this year. Speaker 2 00:29:55 Oh, we're rolling. And I think we've talked about this a couple times because it's been a, it has Speaker 1 00:30:00 Been a Speaker 2 00:30:01 Pitcher's part. It had been right. And Speaker 1 00:30:03 It's not anymore. Yeah. Are we back in on the white Sox? Speaker 2 00:30:05 I think we're back in. I think we're back in. Speaker 1 00:30:07 Yeah. Love being in on the white Sox. I don't think it's ever worked out for us this year, but Speaker 2 00:30:12 I don't think it's it's a hundred percent success rate, correct? For Speaker 1 00:30:15 Sure. 60% of the time it works. Speaker 2 00:30:17 Works all the day. Yeah. Never works. Speaker 1 00:30:18 60% like that. All right. Other value guys. Under 4k fielders, Speaker 2 00:30:22 We mentioned a lead miss. Wow. We just both went stone cold, silent trace Thompson against mania. If you wanna go lefty righty. Speaker 1 00:30:29 Yeah. VAO potentially if can, is in there. I don't mind it. Castanos. You mentioned he had been hitting. I know lefties are the way we want gray, but he does give up a lot of Speaker 2 00:30:41 Home run. He does. He does Philly lefty knew Philly lefty. Brandon Marsh. Maybe if he's he won't make the trip to Atlanta. He's expected to make the debut Thursday, which he didn't. Well, actually I don't know if he did. Was he in the lineup tonight? I don't even remember that came ended in five innings. March was one for two hit Speaker 1 00:31:00 Ninth, which means he's hitting, hitting in front of the leadoff hitter. My favorite wraparound stack. Speaker 2 00:31:05 Yeah. That is your favorite wrap on you. Speaker 1 00:31:06 Go marsh Schwarber Speaker 2 00:31:08 Ooh, Speaker 1 00:31:08 Little nine one. Speaker 2 00:31:10 And if you really wanna get spicy with your 8, 9 1 John I'm a Bryon stock guy. Bryon stock hitting eighth to have wacky 8, 9 1 stack. Not, but I think Brandon Marsh could be probably we've Speaker 1 00:31:21 Negative EV DFX stack. Speaker 2 00:31:23 But like Speaker 1 00:31:24 Probably today it's the winner Duran's gonna lead off against Frankie's 3,100. If he gets on first, he's stealing. It takes Frankie like nine years. A third of home. Speaker 2 00:31:31 Do you think? So they hit him knife tonight. But is that cuz there was a lefty on the mound, right? Speaker 1 00:31:35 Yeah. There's a lefty on the man. Speaker 2 00:31:37 Okay. They'll lead him Speaker 1 00:31:38 Off. Speaker 2 00:31:38 Okay then. Yeah. I have interest there. Cause we've talked about Bogarts devs. Duran's your, your cheapy like that's the way that you save money in your red Sox stack. Speaker 1 00:31:48 Oh, you mentioned, probably got traded to Tampa day. It's three K had a hit tonight. Speaker 2 00:31:53 I think we probably have slept on Tampa throughout this podcast a little bit because Speaker 1 00:31:57 There's just no appealing play. I know you talk about Brandon and Lyle. Speaker 2 00:32:01 Rosa. Rena has been good. Speaker 1 00:32:02 Um, yeah. Rosen is fine. G man, you can go Gman if you want. Speaker 2 00:32:06 I you're right. You're right. Like wanders her. We did mention Brandon Lao, Brandon low. Speaker 1 00:32:11 Lou's your home on guy? Play a one off Lao. If he homers super Speaker 2 00:32:16 Our boy, Luke rally 2100 or Jose Siri. $2,000. Yeah. Super exciting. Playing both of them. I know. Go back to this. Is Speaker 1 00:32:24 There any other call call here? What's your home run? Call Speaker 2 00:32:26 My home run call. Do you have one? I should just, who's gonna hit a home. Run against the tag. Speaker 1 00:32:31 I'm go. Jose Brau. Speaker 2 00:32:33 We're back while you're fully back in on the white Sox fully smokes. Oh my God. Oh no, I'll go. Schwarber against Jo. I agree. Speaker 1 00:32:43 A lot of home runs Speaker 2 00:32:44 And I, a lot of home Speaker 1 00:32:45 Runs the guy that hits a lot of home runs. Speaker 2 00:32:48 He's hit he's Speaker 1 00:32:49 Who gives up the most home Speaker 2 00:32:50 Runs and he's given up two, two. Schwar like he's Schwarber's four for eight with two bombs against him. Speaker 1 00:32:57 Yep. First pitch fastball. First swing of the game's gonna go over the fence. That's set the tone. So that's it. That wraps it up. College Schwarber home run. Call for Grande. Jose bra you home run. Call from playbook. Are you on the playbook, James? Yep. James on the playbook. If you have any questions, get us in discord and we will catch you guys later and we will catch you guys later.
