Speaker 0 00:00:00 Ladies and John, you're listening to the fantasy alarm lb DFS podcast with host John IBA and James Grande.
Speaker 1 00:00:10 What is going on at foundation, John and PBA here with James Grande. Welcome back to the quick pitch. Lb DFS podcast and livestream recording here for Friday's 13 game main slate, James Thursday, we kinda had a weird split slate where we had four games for an early slate. We had a three and four game slate over for the main at night. So took a day off from the pod, took a day off to a recharge, the batteries, refresh and get back to it because the boy do we have a, a big one to go over today?
Speaker 2 00:00:38 Yeah. Big slate. Lots of interesting matchups. No course field, man. It has been just a beautiful two weeks, John. No course. I'm sure that's gonna end. Like on like soon as the podcast is back on Monday, like course field just hit us right in the face. I know it, but it's been a nice two weeks. Not a lot of when you look at the names, not like your premier names at the pitcher position, some good ones, nevertheless, but not like your typical star power. Well,
Speaker 1 00:01:09 Not like we've had right. We had like, we've had like we're through that part of the rotation. Right? We definitely have some ACEs. I mean, Sandy akin tower has been one of the best pitches in baseball now. Yep. And he is coming off yet. Another complete game, by the way,
Speaker 2 00:01:20 Like sky's a
Speaker 1 00:01:21 Machine for him and against the Dodgers. No less Dodgers team that rocked them up the start before bounces right back nine innings, one earned 10 strikeouts. Is that a season high for him? No. He had 12 over here against the Phillies. He had 14 against it. 14 against Atlanta. And who does he draw? Who does he draw? Two starts against Atlanta. This season is a 0.53 era. Good. Seems good.
Speaker 2 00:01:46 Let me check my math. Yeah,
Speaker 1 00:01:47 I think it's pretty good. Yeah. Carry the one, two. Oh, he's allowed one earned run in 17 innings. 10 hits is kind of not great, but you know, he's, he's been able to, you know, skirt around some of that four unearned runs allowed, so keep adding to consideration. But 21 strikeouts 17 ings, obviously 14 of those 21 came and a single start, but 17 innings and two outings. I mean, that's a complete game, right? And in an eight ending outing, the man just pitches deep pitch count. Doesn't really matter with him. Well deserving of the $10,300 price tag, I don't think will really argue too much with anybody there. What are your thoughts on Dustin may though being $10,100. He two starts both against Miami, right? Right. So lesser competition now drawing a home star against San Diego here.
Speaker 2 00:02:33 So Alara for sure, like you said, deserves this price tag. I think may doesn't like, he's looked good to pricing to see any Dodger starter lose a game that he only allows tour and runs truthfully, but you
Speaker 1 00:02:50 Know, well, he was probably up against Al Canari here. So
Speaker 2 00:02:53 Yeah, probably it's probably true. Yeah. I mean, I don't love the price tag. I don't think ten one is like too appealing, but like there's a lot going for him. San Diego's offense. Hasn't been great. Right. Even since the trade, he is a very high octane pitcher with a lot of strike on upside. And I think the most eye popping thing, John is for a guy who's only made two starts on a team that has a manager that over manages his pitchers. Yeah. I mean, 86 pitches in his second start of the year is super surprising to see. And it makes me believe maybe he stays in this range for the rest of September. Maybe he gets to a hundred. Right. We don't know.
Speaker 1 00:03:36 I mean, 15 pitch jump between two starts. You can get into the nineties here. So right. Agree with you again. I don't think we have to go here either. The guys below you have Castillo against Cleveland. I kind of have some interest in that. He just faced his team. What do we say about Cleveland all year? They don't strike out. Well, he struck out 10, right? So he's been very good for them since that acquisition. He's $9,900. I don't mind that spot at all. Jordan. Montgomery's at home against Chicago. I mean, how many times do we keep going back to the, to Jordan Montgomery? Well, right. I think that's a spot where we could certainly look to attack a tough outing against Atlanta last time, but that's not really a surprise. Right? Atlanta tough offense. They can get to teams. But that match up against Chicago was when he threw the complete game one hitter.
Speaker 1 00:04:18 So right now he is running it back. He's at home, which is a better hitter, a pitcher's environment at $9,200. I like that a lot. And then I don't mind Lance of colors against the angels here. I know the angels line up, you know, they have those tough guys at the top, you know, with trout OT, they're doing their thing. But three starts now from a colors over 90 pitches and each of the last two he's been serviceable. So at $8,800 and a more favorable matchup here against LA, I could have some interest when we're looking in the mid tier.
Speaker 2 00:04:45 Yeah. I mean, nothing, no disagreement about Castillo. Even at 99, Monty was tremendous in that start. You and I were loving it cuz we both played him in. So
Speaker 1 00:04:56 Oh you wrote that one.
Speaker 2 00:04:57 Yeah. But colors does have a lot of strike out appeal. The angel strike out more against righties. Another guy I know 90 pitches in three in two of his three starts. That's crazy. And two, two starts of which he hasn't allowed earn run. So I like that. And I like Charlie Morton against Marlins too. I know he's been up and down, but there has been some boom games for Charlie Martin. I mean just two starts to go 11
Speaker 1 00:05:23 Strikeouts. Yeah. Against Houston. And then the Mets 12 strikeouts.
Speaker 2 00:05:26 Yeah. 40, 40 fantasy points. Like he that's, he's kind of been doing that all year. He hasn't been as consistent. He has as he has been in years past. But when he's good, he's like
Speaker 1 00:05:36 Really like break home road splits this year. What's the eye popping one there. Right? 13 home starts 3.07 era, a 1 91 batting average against 98 strikeouts and 73 innings. So well over a strikeout and inning, you go on the road. 12 starts 5, 2, 4 era 2 62 batting average against just 70 strikeouts in 67 inning. So you know, nearly a strikeout per inning, but well over strikeout per inning at home. So yeah, maybe now you get him at home here against Miami and he's capable of, of doing a little bit of a damage against them. His one start against Miami this year was on the road, five innings, three and runs in that game. So yeah. Could be a good environment with Morton on the, at home. What are your thoughts on Lauer? I've been talking about it a lot. All season. I only like him at home. The numbers barreled out 2 99 era at home. He's on the road, but he is on the road against Arizona who we've recently been talking about. Aside from that start against rod on, they had really been struggling against lefthand to pitching
Speaker 2 00:06:32 Like, he's fine.
Speaker 1 00:06:33 You can say, no, we don't have to say everybody's good. I
Speaker 2 00:06:35 Don't like, I think he's a good pitcher, but there has, it has been pretty drastic to see him on the road versus being home.
Speaker 1 00:06:43 I think it's pretty clear. The roster ship here is gonna be on Montgomery at $9,200 to me.
Speaker 2 00:06:47 I think you are right. I can see. I mean there, like after Kinera there's no one picture that you're like, I need this guy in my lineup. I could see a scenario where like Castillo is decently owned. Morton is decently owned. Montgomery is decently owned. What colors are is decently owned. Sure. And then Lauer is like under own because like it's weird though. Right? Because dime backs, although I agree, the numbers suggest that they have been bad. Um,
Speaker 1 00:07:19 We know they have guys that can hit lefties. We talk about,
Speaker 2 00:07:21 Well, they have like, and now our boy McCarthy's hitting lefties, even though he is from the left side,
Speaker 1 00:07:27 He checked yet. But I'll ask you right now is McCarthy over under 3,500.
Speaker 2 00:07:31 I'm gonna say under, just again, it's football season. They don't care. I'll go
Speaker 1 00:07:36 Under. I wanna be surprised when we get downfield. So if you look, don't say
Speaker 2 00:07:38 Catch it.
Speaker 1 00:07:39 I looked, I'll see it when we hit there. Mid-tier pitching, you know, we talked about McColl's there across from our collars. Denner I don't really wanna run that up against Houston Peterson. He's been a guy that we've kind of gone back and forth on playing this year. Really great. Start against Colorado six, shout out seven strikeouts going up against a Washington team. You know, what are your thoughts here on David Peterson?
Speaker 2 00:08:01 He is like one of those dudes that like throws this random good start and then just is bad. The next start and goes like three in ins. He can't locate. I mean he has like location issues at times. He has always been a strikeout guy. So like, if you wanna hang your head on that, we can 104 strikeouts this year and 89 innings is pretty damn good. Yep. There's just sometimes I don't know what it is. He just can't locate. And then he just can't get through private innings. Sure. And he can't get you a win. And so if you're gonna go David Peterson, I don't hate it. I also don't mind using nationals against him. I think the nationals have a couple guys against lefties that, that we can use. But you know, GPP is only for Peterson. If you're, if you are gonna play
Speaker 1 00:08:44 Him. Sure. Sonny gray against the white Sox on the road. We know white Sox against righties. We more favorable spot. Generally not my favorite spot, but gray has been decent. He's you know, hasn't been good in this opening, but just one start one start. They got to him. But overall this year he is been a pretty good starter at $8,100. Josiah gray is, was my Bankie there. One thing to note about Josiah gray of course, is all of the home runs that he tends to allow <laugh>. So if we're, if we're going on the Josiah grade train, you could probably expect a good amount of strikeout. If we are against Josiah gray, which we probably will be in GS expect home runs before he was shut down there. He was leaving the league and home runs a lot. I am sure. Since he's missed a couple of weeks, somebody has passed him, but you know, there's 18 home runs in 10, sorry, sorry.
Speaker 1 00:09:34 32 home runs allowed this year in 23. Outings is uh, not very good. He allowed a Homer over four innings against the Mets in his loan start this year. So probably a no when it comes to pitching. But you know, he does have those random games where, you know, he does locate and he strikes out 10. So yep. Pick and choose how you want to handle it. Any other value in the seven K range? There's a lot of pitchers here cuz it's 13 games. So, you know, kind of just scrolling down the list. Alex co Nick Veta, Kyle Gibson. I know you were a Springs guy there for a bit. Yep. I know he is running up against the Yankees. Creamer gets a good spot against Oakland. You know, how are you feeling about this grouping?
Speaker 2 00:10:11 I'm gonna go back to the well of Springs. I'm gonna dip my toes in the Springs, John. Yeah.
Speaker 1 00:10:16 He gave up five against Boston, but he struck out eight. So like right.
Speaker 2 00:10:20 He's
Speaker 1 00:10:21 Still
Speaker 2 00:10:21 There. Yeah. The strikeout he's been a strikeout arm the entire year. It's good to see the pitch count back up 86 and 98. His last two, the strikeouts have been there six or more and four of his last five starts in the only one. He didn't have that many strikeouts against was the Yankees, but he only limited into one run over five innings. And
Speaker 1 00:10:42 He took a lot after 78 pitches too. So
Speaker 2 00:10:44 Yeah. So if we're back to Jeffrey Springs, throwing 80 plus pitches, I have no problem going here. He's good against him. Yeah. Pitchers, spark. He's been good against them. And the Yankees have been dreadful. There's really nothing. I can say nothing. I can hang my head on about the Yankees offense right now. They called up their second top prospect. Still not, yeah, still not the best prospect they own in their system, but maybe that's a spark for them. But again, that just adds another young player to the, an already struggling lineup. But I think Jeffrey Springs and tournaments makes a lot of sense at
Speaker 1 00:11:16 Sense. Yeah. K creamer's interesting for me too, you know, last outing against Houston seven two third, just one run. Allow crazy, crazy. A Boston five and a third. There one are allowed four strikeouts. Now he is home against Oakland, right? So pitcher's ballpark against another bad kind of offense. He's just been good now. Not a ton of strikeouts obviously, but a guy that if he's gonna start pitching deeper into games and giving themselves opportunities to get win points, like at $7,100, if he gives you another 20 or 19 fancy points, right. Nobody is gonna be crying about that.
Speaker 2 00:11:47 I mean, you said Houston, Boston, you didn't even go, you could go a step further. The start prior to that was in Toronto seven innings, two run, six strikeouts in that game and the game prior to that. Yeah. Bus Anta him for four runs, but there was six strikeouts. Yeah. So like I agree. Not a lot of strikeout upside, but if he gives you six at 7,100, I think that's a pretty good start. Especially considering it's Oakland. They're obviously one of the worst teams in baseball. They've only gotten worse since releasing all their players and yeah, I think I can get behind some Dean Cramer, um, just given who they're facing man. But other than that,
Speaker 1 00:12:23 I don't really like much below seven K. I mean Herman's been okay. Yeah.
Speaker 2 00:12:26 It's
Speaker 1 00:12:26 Been good. Yeah. $6,900. It all depends on are they gonna score? But I mean hard to argue with the guy that's only allow more than one run. Yeah. Once in five starts. So you know another guy again where strikeouts are sort of Midling but he's been December 69. I don't know where we're like, where do you go after that though? Is there, you know,
Speaker 2 00:12:44 Dallas Kiel? Why? Like,
Speaker 1 00:12:46 Yeah, no red Sox are gonna be a popular team, dude.
Speaker 2 00:12:50 He's
Speaker 1 00:12:51 He worse than he's worse than Madison Bumgarner. So like
Speaker 2 00:12:54 Why is he still like Texas thought? That was a good idea. Yeah.
Speaker 1 00:12:59 I like that. He is a lefty too, because it puts guy, it puts our guys in play. It puts Tommy fam in play. You know, it puts, you know, Kiki Hernandez in play, obviously Xander, JD, like a lot of the guys who wanna play and that lineup are all gonna be viable options. So
Speaker 2 00:13:15 Why is Dallas? Kaile a thing. Yeah. Like I like why is he a
Speaker 1 00:13:19 Thing doesn't make any sense outside of that though? Again, I'm not really seeing much.
Speaker 2 00:13:23 No it's Herman. I think it's that spring creamer Herman range for probably the both of us
Speaker 1 00:13:30 Sears has been okay. But again, he
Speaker 2 00:13:32 Was good with the Yankees and like in his like little stints and then when they traded him.
Speaker 1 00:13:38 Yeah. No
Speaker 2 00:13:39 There's no strike, no strikeouts.
Speaker 1 00:13:41 Yeah. But he does have two wins in his last three sharks and those two wins resulted in 15 fantasy points. Each that's fair, 5,800 bucks. You know, it is what it is going
Speaker 2 00:13:51 Against your second favorite team though. I don't
Speaker 1 00:13:52 Know. Yeah. I know catcher opposite of the Sears matchup ad athletes at 50 fives though. Scratched yesterday, right on yesterday
Speaker 2 00:14:00 Line. Yeah. Scratch. Scratched on Wednesday. Yeah.
Speaker 1 00:14:03 So,
Speaker 2 00:14:03 But he played on Thursday.
Speaker 1 00:14:05 Yep. 5k for him. If you wanna go there against Huon, not a good player. Is that so, yep. Let's see. What's Vasca has been doing oh, Vaca has been on fire, huh?
Speaker 2 00:14:15 Yeah. The crazy part is he's been so good. Every single hit is a single, no extra base hits. He's saying four 50 over his last 10 games, 14 singles,
Speaker 1 00:14:26 9 50, 2 ops. And no extra base hits is a pretty hard task, but he,
Speaker 2 00:14:30 He has a higher on base than he does sling.
Speaker 1 00:14:33 Right.
Speaker 2 00:14:33 That's that is pretty impressive to that. Yeah. So that is pretty impressive.
Speaker 1 00:14:38 He gets a lefty in Denver's there. If you want to go some Houston, you can certainly throw him in the middle. Let's see. Carson Kelly gets the lefty at 35 against Eric Lauer. Kelly kind of coming down a little bit, obviously not bad. A hos gets the lefty matchup that I generally like to play him at 33. I think an interesting one. Well, you mentioned Travino. We're not really going against Springs, but you've talked him up against lefties is the red Sox catching situation again. Now I know we've talked Reese McGuire. He keeps on hitting the baseball. Yep. But Ross has expanded and I don't know if you are keeping up what Connor wall has was doing down in triple a at the time of his call up. But he had probably one of the hottest months of probably any catching prospect, minor leaguer at the triple a level.
Speaker 1 00:15:25 He had 10 home runs during the month of August with like an ops over nine 50. He just, he found the stroke at some point in time down while in while at triple a. So over my, the fact that like red Sox's Twitter was just furious that they wouldn't call him up. They're like, what does this man have to do to find himself on the major league team? Meanwhile, Reese McGuire just keeps on being a professional hitter and then Peck gets a spot stock the other night and gets three hits. So, but any red Sox catcher that finds himself in the lineup, I'll be going against Dallas. Cause they're all cheap. Right? Connor won is $2,100. A recent McGuire is $2,300. What's let's Peck at these days. Peck probably two K. I would imagine he
Speaker 2 00:16:05 Is two K.
Speaker 1 00:16:05 Yep. Yeah. I can't spell his name. Right. So there he is. Yeah. Two K. So if you wanna punt Dallas, Heikal all of those catchers are right-handed hitters. Like they all hit the ball. They're you know, they're just in a good spot. So that that's where I'm sitting with the catch position. Just spend down for Boston.
Speaker 2 00:16:20 Reese is a lefty, but yeah. Okay.
Speaker 1 00:16:22 The other two, so good. You know what? I bet Connor won starts. I won. I bet Connor one will start. Yeah.
Speaker 2 00:16:27 So I here's, I'm gonna say this. I wish we, I want, I wish we could get a disclaimer at the top of the, this podcast. Yeah. I like 13 games. Slate is a very easy slate to fade chalk. Right? Like you could go different ways. Boston is going to be chalky. It is Dallas keel. He has been maybe the worst pitcher in baseball. I don't even know. I could not name one off the top of my head. I think he's been like significantly worse than Patrick har and that's saying a lot, right?
Speaker 1 00:16:59 Yeah. I said, he's been like worse than mad Mo garner, right. Where it's hard to do.
Speaker 2 00:17:03 Right. So this feels like, and this is why I think we need the disclaimer. This feels like a spot that the chalk cannot miss.
Speaker 1 00:17:12 Yes.
Speaker 2 00:17:13 But I need to also mention that if you're with me, I've been fading a lot of chalk lately. I can't blame you if you do. But I also just cannot blame you if you wanna five sack. The red Sox.
Speaker 1 00:17:24 Yeah. So at the time of his call, car Wong hand, Homer did nine of the previous 13 games. So
Speaker 2 00:17:29 A lot of home that's a lot of
Speaker 1 00:17:31 Home, right? Yeah. So the dude had just found the, so yeah. I agree with you, you know, I don't see how this, how that fades
Speaker 2 00:17:36 Doesn't work out. I mean, it's just, I agree. But we've said that about a lot. We've said that, I mean, we had a host start.
Speaker 1 00:17:43 Haven't said it, but when we say it, like we've been right above Madison Bumgarner when we're like true, you know like BA Dallas, Kiel is trash.
Speaker 2 00:17:51 No he's no, he's the, yeah. I mean he's
Speaker 1 00:17:54 Zero terrible zero, 0% chance. He shuts down the Boston red Sox. I am sorry.
Speaker 2 00:18:00 Okay.
Speaker 1 00:18:01 No shot.
Speaker 2 00:18:02 And this is why we need a disclaimer. Like, Hey, like just, they, you know, they were intoxicated at the time of this recording. I'm just kidding. I'm just kidding. We're not all right. Well,
Speaker 1 00:18:12 John, let's go to first base top guys, you know, gold and Sampson, I think were, you know, he 65 it's super Pete Lonzo against Jozy gray. You know, what was it? Was it lefties or right's
Speaker 2 00:18:22 Left's lefties. It's lefties. But I think like my thinking is if you are a powerful hitter, you know, you could take Joi grade
Speaker 1 00:18:31 Deep. You could take Josiah grade deep. That's true. You not even a P you don't even have to be a truly powerful hitter. True. You have to true any sort of power. True. So, yeah. So Goldie is obviously always fine. And uh, we do like our boy Alonzo in this gray match trip down to like the under 5k range. What do you think of Mani here? Guy keeps on hitting gets the ready lefty match up.
Speaker 2 00:18:51 Did you see my, uh, did you see the cover from my playbook on Wednesday,
Speaker 1 00:18:54 John? No. Was it him?
Speaker 2 00:18:55 Yep. Can you guess what day that was?
Speaker 1 00:18:57 It was, oh, for four day.
Speaker 2 00:18:58 Did you see the day surrounding his own? Yeah.
Speaker 1 00:19:01 Four for six today with the Homer three for five, with three doubles the game before. So
Speaker 2 00:19:06 I mean, just
Speaker 1 00:19:07 Like, yeah. Missed timed. It. Who was on the mound yesterday for
Speaker 2 00:19:10 A Wednesday was
Speaker 1 00:19:11 Really rough. Okay. Good side. And
Speaker 2 00:19:14 He stink. He stinks against righties. No, I mean he gave up Luke VO hit a home run. He gave up five runs.
Speaker 1 00:19:18 Yeah. VO Homer again. And the chalk came through that catcher position. Luke VO vote. Luke VO
Speaker 2 00:19:24 Hit the catch. Yeah. Yeah. Luke VO. The catcher. Yeah. Yeah.
Speaker 1 00:19:27 Stevens vote the catcher.
Speaker 2 00:19:29 Both. Yeah. Yeah. He's good, dude. I mean, he is 30 years old and like obviously a journeyman and how, but at the time of Wednesday, so now, like he had hits in 21 of the 23 games he had played in. So now it's 22 of 25 and he continues to rake. Like how can he not want to like, have a piece of the pie, you know,
Speaker 1 00:19:48 4,500 Christian Walker against a left D at 43. Sure. Think will be. We think we can. I
Speaker 2 00:19:53 Like the dime backs kind of here.
Speaker 1 00:19:54 Yeah. Deals in. I bad. They'll be lower roster when we're in. We like Christian Walker and we've liked Arizona at times the season. So yeah, we do eventually they'll spin it back around. Rowdy against Davies at 41 could be in on the rowdy thing has been better at home this year. If I remember correctly. Yes, yes. 2 59, 22 ops at home this season. So something to the least consider in the back of your brain, the lefty power against your, I agree. Oh, VO box checks that box. Yep. Certainly do that. Nate low at 3,900 against TTA went back to being trash, you know? So could certainly throw our boy in Nathaniel
Speaker 2 00:20:29 And Nathaniel has not been trashed. He has been anything trash.
Speaker 1 00:20:33 The guy, I went two for two would a double. And they're like, you know what? Let's drop him $300. That's
Speaker 2 00:20:37 He's really good. He is in some form right now,
Speaker 1 00:20:40 Dude, he's almost 300 now. Like this is a wild run for him. So,
Speaker 2 00:20:44 Well, this was the prospect. This was him, him as a prospect in Tampa, right before they got rid of him. Like, this is what they wanted him to be. And he wasn't. And then they moved on and they've done plenty good without him. But you know, Texas has themselves, the, their first baseman for a while.
Speaker 1 00:21:02 True Mount cast versus lefty. I know home and recent numbers for him. Aren't great. But you know, histor, you know, last year you just mashed south Bon. So it could be a spot for him there. Let's see anything else you like here is that man. Where is the Mancini? Is he outfield only Mancini?
Speaker 2 00:21:19 Yeah. What's yep.
Speaker 1 00:21:21 That's too bad. Well, he gets a lefty when we get there.
Speaker 2 00:21:23 That's du and Dogman trash can't play him.
Speaker 1 00:21:27 Got picked up by Baltimore. His Aguigui.
Speaker 2 00:21:29 Yeah. Yeah. I wonder how
Speaker 1 00:21:32 Much for when the roster so he could be in the line up here. Gets a lefty.
Speaker 2 00:21:36 Yeah. Maybe where's our boy.
Speaker 1 00:21:37 I say pat or didn't come through for us. I'm upset.
Speaker 2 00:21:40 Yeah. He didn't come through, but
Speaker 1 00:21:42 Is he still two K then
Speaker 2 00:21:43 I think he's still free. Two K prodo. Two K, but yeah, there them that's fine. Pool holes. I
Speaker 1 00:21:49 Know. Straight two K
Speaker 2 00:21:51 Yeah. Pools is two K.
Speaker 1 00:21:52 Oh. Cause the right's on the band.
Speaker 2 00:21:54 Yeah. But it's like, I think we're gonna start seeing like now that St. Louis is how many games up at St. Louis in the division or like a com like we're just gonna see pool holes. September 1st. He needs four home
Speaker 1 00:22:07 Runs. Yeah.
Speaker 2 00:22:08 Or six home runs. Like we need to get him going here, boys. You know, we need to get some pitchers to groove. I think this is one of those spots. So who those two K they're up six games in the division feels pretty comfortable. Right? That feels like a pretty comfortable place to be. Right.
Speaker 1 00:22:25 Well, let's go to a second. B out two bigs lefty. Emmers at 57. I'm not gonna play you. Meez here, but he's been my sneaky play all season long,
Speaker 2 00:22:32 56. What
Speaker 1 00:22:35 Know? It's not a spot for here. Let's see Roja Marte at 49 against Lauer, maybe. And 48 against he. Again, you're not wrong. They're gonna be trucky, but
Speaker 2 00:22:47 Nah, they're gonna be so popular.
Speaker 1 00:22:48 You kinda hit three hits for story. Yesterday, three hits and two of the last three games. I don't know what's going on with the Boston red Sox tonight. They were down the last I looked but story at
Speaker 2 00:22:57 48, 8, 8, 5 bottom nine
Speaker 1 00:22:59 Down, down or up down. What story? Due tonight? Anything
Speaker 2 00:23:03 Trevor's story is not in the line. All
Speaker 1 00:23:06 Right, good. Coming up a fresh day of three hits. Now it gets Kial to tee up at home. You know, green monster could be, uh, get pegged here for 4,800 bucks. Yes.
Speaker 2 00:23:16 Yeah. I mean, yeah. Yeah. I'm hoping they just hit it into the night of Boston. Yeah. It just comes through your front window. I don't think you'd mind if Trevor started hit, went through your window.
Speaker 1 00:23:26 Wouldn't I wouldn't Jeff McNeal against Josiah grade 43. Yep. I think we're in on that red GFO. If you want to go, you just hits. I don't know. 4k is fine. You just seemingly always comes up for LA lyr gets a lefty here. Kik is second base. Outfield eligibility. 3,600 against Kai.
Speaker 2 00:23:45 Boston is Boston's gonna have three second base options on this slate that we could use.
Speaker 1 00:23:51 Yeah. Cuz Christian Royal, right? Cope and Wong. Still play him. If you wanna play. 'em 3,500 works.
Speaker 2 00:23:57 Still hidden.
Speaker 1 00:23:58 It's still, still hitting flexes at 33 Grum against Al and tower out. Wouldn't you use him here for the first time ever. That's fine. But he is 3,100. So he is still very cheap. No ownership will be on him at least if you do play it, but no reason to then yeah. Royal's down to 2,400. Has he been in the lineup much? Yeah. He's three fairly regular. Two,
Speaker 2 00:24:18 Two for four, three RBIS tonight. Yeah.
Speaker 1 00:24:21 If he plays with story back, that's my question. But what'll see what the lineup looks like.
Speaker 2 00:24:25 They also had key ad of the lamp tonight. Yeah.
Speaker 1 00:24:28 Something to think about there. That's it for second base for me though. I dunno if there's
Speaker 2 00:24:31 I would play Nick Gordon. Who's been really good. Eight RBIS over his last two games.
Speaker 1 00:24:37 Yeah. Eight grants. Didn't he have the grand slam against Boston. Yeah.
Speaker 2 00:24:39 He did three straight Bolty hit games. Four game hitting streak. You
Speaker 1 00:24:43 Know who his dad is?
Speaker 2 00:24:44 Flash Gordon.
Speaker 1 00:24:45 Yes. Tom Gordon. The
Speaker 2 00:24:47 Closer. Yeah. The closer. Yep.
Speaker 1 00:24:48 Yep. Former red Sox. Closer back in the day who you played for? The
Speaker 2 00:24:52 Yankee also played for the Yankees.
Speaker 1 00:24:54 Yep. Yep. So
Speaker 2 00:24:55 Abraham Toro two K coming alive. Yeah.
Speaker 1 00:24:58 They called him play. Yep. Could be a guy.
Speaker 2 00:25:00 So some, I think we should probably preface this. I'll also bring up mark AIAS for the Rangers too. John 3 79 over his last 10 games been playing pretty much every day. Yeah. First against
Speaker 1 00:25:14 Veta biggest eligibility too.
Speaker 2 00:25:15 So I think it's worth mentioning, this is our first podcast of September mm-hmm <affirmative> and there's gonna be a lot of guys in and out of lineups. There's a lot of call up. There's a lot of moving parts, so yeah, it's just Worthing,
Speaker 1 00:25:28 She only expanded the roster by two. Remember the old September call triple a team was coming up. Like
Speaker 2 00:25:34 I, I know, but like it's something we mentioned last podcast, like pitch counts. Yeah. You know, for guys approaching like innings limits could be, you know, something worth monitoring. So just, you know, keep an eye out for all that stuff.
Speaker 1 00:25:48 Third base loaded Ramirez Anado Maido devs Riley, Riley, Homer tonight. But he gets Alcon tower. We can just chalk that one away. Ramirez gets Castillo. Not really where I want to be. Devil's against Kiel. We know he hits lefty. So he can certainly go in that direction, even with some of history and struggles, but Chado against me. Pick your spot for him there. And then Anato against Sam's
Speaker 2 00:26:09 I play Anato
Speaker 1 00:26:12 At some point, Deborah is gonna get a hit he's he hasn gotten a hit in five straight games.
Speaker 2 00:26:16 Yeah. That's crazy. He's too good.
Speaker 1 00:26:18 He's too good. So he's too good unless he's hurt. And they're not saying anything. Dallas Kigo seems like a slump Buster. So
Speaker 2 00:26:25 Seems like definitely is. Yeah. Yeah,
Speaker 1 00:26:28 For sure. But our hour keeps, I mean 4, 10, 11 83.
Speaker 2 00:26:31 Yeah. He's ridiculous. Since
Speaker 1 00:26:33 We, again, since we've pointed out that he also hits right-handed hitting, he just hasn't stopped hitting. So he's
Speaker 2 00:26:37 Just got, he's actually gotten better. Right? If he didn't, if Paul Goldschmid didn't exist on the planet, there's a world where Nodo is winning the MVP
Speaker 1 00:26:46 It's probably is right up there.
Speaker 2 00:26:48 Right? Like, I mean, there's a world that if his teammate isn't the best player in baseball outside of Aaron, judge, he win. He'd probably win.
Speaker 1 00:26:58 Yeah. There's few better. One, two punches in baseball right now than now. Gold Schmid so yeah. You know what, who Cofield, who you know, are now proving that he was not a product of course, field outside of that group, field ball cap. Outside of that group, you gotta <inaudible> against DERs. I know we like him better against righties this year, but you know, he's still been hitting the ball pretty well. Bobby Whit against Hutchinson. He's up to $5,200 though. Like that's just, I
Speaker 2 00:27:20 Know there was a lot of pricey, short
Speaker 1 00:27:22 Size, the powers there. Yeah. The powers there. He could pay it off, but
Speaker 2 00:27:24 Against righties too. He's definitely better against righties. I'm trying to look up. Chen's splits. He's better. He's worse against lefties. So maybe not the spot.
Speaker 1 00:27:35 Yeah. Donald on the road against Springs, but I
Speaker 2 00:27:38 Mean all roads are leading us to three K John. I know. Let's just get there. No, get, go to three K. Lock him in, put him in the lineup. Talk
Speaker 1 00:27:46 About it. Yeah. Talk about it.
Speaker 2 00:27:47 Gunner Henderson. Guy's a star. I don't know what else to say. He's just a star. He's number two pro against
Speaker 1 00:27:54 Of people. You play him against the lefty.
Speaker 2 00:27:56 I play him against anybody. Okay. No, I know. I get what you're saying, but look, I mean, look at the two game sample we have first major league hits a home run. He has two hits, 17 fantasy points. Next day 1, 1, 4 makes stuff happen. Steals the base. I mean, dude, he's gonna play multiple positions. He's gonna fly around the bases. He's gonna hit home runs. Yeah. Kids's a stud. Baltimore is in for how bad they were for so long for having Chris Davis not hit the baseball for like three months. Like they deserve this, you know, they deserve gunner Henderson and Adley Ruman. And I would play him here. I'm not saying he's the only play at three K like, I mean, I mean, there's
Speaker 1 00:28:39 Not a lot of value. I mean, honestly, so he would be the guy in
Speaker 2 00:28:42 My, I like Manuel Rivera at 31. He's been really good. He they're hitting him like third against lefties. And I think his numbers are crazy against lefties too. Also, this is weird. Random BVP, kettle Marte, BVP, John seven of 'em for 14 two home runs.
Speaker 1 00:29:02 I like it. We were kind in on it already. So
Speaker 2 00:29:05 Manuel Rivera, 2 83 home runs 3 72 average against lefties.
Speaker 1 00:29:09 Okay. But yeah, Marte was fine. We knew what you could say at lefty. Well, so any other third basin for you?
Speaker 2 00:29:15 Not unless you see something, I'm
Speaker 1 00:29:17 Not, I got nothing. All right. Shortstop, Trey Turner Lynn door, the lefty power against gray, you know, up there. Seager gets vetted 54. I like that in Boston. I think that's a good spot for Seager Xander at 51 grand slam the other day. Finally sat.
Speaker 2 00:29:32 Yeah. Coming alive. Huh?
Speaker 1 00:29:33 Coming alive. Three S over his last 10, we talked about the, no power for him. Power's starting to show up four straight games with multi hits. I assume he's playing tonight with the other guys out. Right. So
Speaker 2 00:29:43 Yeah. He's two for four. Another two hits. Yep.
Speaker 1 00:29:46 So that's what five straight games on with yeah. Five straight that's street or two play games for him. So,
Speaker 2 00:29:51 And seven of eight. Yeah.
Speaker 1 00:29:54 So
Speaker 2 00:29:54 That's kind of crazy. That's like a we're on like a,
Speaker 1 00:29:57 He's turned it up and he gets Kik here at 51. So
Speaker 2 00:30:00 Red Sox have the winning run at the plate in Rafael devs. Ooh. Base is loaded. No outs.
Speaker 1 00:30:06 Does he have any hits tonight?
Speaker 2 00:30:08 He's one for four with an RBI. Hey good. Yeah. An RBI double. I like it. Uh, for Dugo Homer.
Speaker 1 00:30:14 Wow. Kinda win aid ball with that, you know? Interesting ha buys against Lynch at 41. We talked lefty match ups for him. We didn't even mention Detroit yet, but Detroit versus lefts, you mentioned that I did house size is true. Baez. We'll get the candle. We didn't mention Canaria. That was my guy. He's probably two K.
Speaker 2 00:30:30 He is two
Speaker 1 00:30:31 K two K. He had a couple hits the other guy against, against lefty. Q for four, two RBIS. Yep.
Speaker 2 00:30:36 Two, two. He's been good. Yeah.
Speaker 1 00:30:38 Oh, he is not good, but he is good against the left either.
Speaker 2 00:30:41 Oh, RBI, double two RBI. Double for Rael. Deborahs Sean. Eight, seven. Deborah's coming alive. Two doubles. Three RBI's tonight.
Speaker 1 00:30:50 What? In
Speaker 2 00:30:50 We're in bottom nine. Winning run on second base. Wow. No else.
Speaker 1 00:30:54 JD Martinez at the plate.
Speaker 2 00:30:55 80 Martinez at the plate. Wow. Austin way.
Speaker 1 00:30:59 I'm right now. And I'm watching this happening. I'm probably scared hundred percent. All right. Midtier guys after buy at 41 paying it 39.
Speaker 2 00:31:08 Mateo's letting us down lately.
Speaker 1 00:31:10 Yeah. It's us all. You know, lefty. He won't steal could be some power shapey pro gets please. Andrew had a good game the other day, but
Speaker 2 00:31:18 Yeah, he led off in that game. He homed and let off, listen, look at his
Speaker 1 00:31:23 List. I
Speaker 2 00:31:24 Know five low five game hit streak here.
Speaker 1 00:31:26 Rejuvenated.
Speaker 2 00:31:27 I don't know why he explained for Tony LA Russa. Probably he
Speaker 1 00:31:29 Not. This is away from the deep
Speaker 2 00:31:31 Is he really? Yeah.
Speaker 1 00:31:33 I wondered. Well, the other day he was, they said he was, he was taking a leave to be examined by a doctor or whatever. So, oh,
Speaker 2 00:31:38 I, I don't
Speaker 1 00:31:39 Know. He could be back. He could have been a one day thing. I don't know. I didn't
Speaker 2 00:31:42 Really, I missed that. Like completely missed that and no wonder he there. Yeah. Yeah. Indefinitely.
Speaker 1 00:31:47 Yeah. There you
Speaker 2 00:31:48 Go. Art specialist. Holy cow. How did I miss this? What in the
Speaker 1 00:31:52 World? So he is not the coach right now.
Speaker 2 00:31:53 Oh, okay. Well, no wonder. They're showing signs. Life stack the white Sox.
Speaker 1 00:31:57 So Seeger Xander, Baez. And I guess Andrew send Sentinel throw out there
Speaker 2 00:32:03 For sure. Yeah. Like, yeah. I like Andrew's done here.
Speaker 1 00:32:05 All right. Let's go to outfield. Aaron judge. Ooky Betson are at the top. They both have. Okay. Matchups, bets against star. Obviously the tougher one judge against spring.
Speaker 2 00:32:15 They both, you could play 'em against anybody though. They're both on. They're both like feeling
Speaker 1 00:32:19 It right? Julio Rodriguez did not Homer the other day when we had him in there, everybody Homer today. So could go run that back against the righty here. Yep. Let's see. Where do we go? Dude?
Speaker 2 00:32:29 Our rose arena is just a fantasy machine. Yeah. These days. Look at this guy.
Speaker 1 00:32:35 I know five stole bases. Two homers last 10 games
Speaker 2 00:32:37 Hitting four 30. Over that span. He has legs. Xander, four straight, multi hit games. Five or four stole bases over that span a home run. Four RBIS, three doubles. My man is just cooking right now.
Speaker 1 00:32:50 I like it. Marte Homer the other day, talking about gray. A lot. Harper and trout. Both are in play. If you want to go there.
Speaker 2 00:32:56 Geez. This is outfield is
Speaker 1 00:32:58 Loading. Yeah. 13 games, 13 games. And
Speaker 2 00:33:01 It just feels better
Speaker 1 00:33:02 If we play sch he won't Homer. If we don't play him, he will. So
Speaker 2 00:33:07 We won't play him. Hinting,
Speaker 1 00:33:08 Win quick. Figure that one out. If you want Baltimore guys are all jacked up. Huh? Santa at $5,100. Yeah.
Speaker 2 00:33:13 It's yeah. It's
Speaker 1 00:33:14 Crazy. Hannah's been better against righties this year. He's 5k, uh, struggling a bit
Speaker 2 00:33:18 In a stack.
Speaker 1 00:33:19 Yep. In a stack and
Speaker 2 00:33:20 With UN Muhan, as far as like, we didn't mention him, but he's been rolling. He's hitting for a lot of power. If you wanna roll, if you wanna roll Mariners. He's good in the stack too.
Speaker 1 00:33:29 Yep. And Nimo at 4,800 expensive, but you know, going that whole gray stack, Tommy FAMs, where I wanna go at 45, 3 5900 ops is lost 10 games here. Uh, I don't know where he is doing tonight, but uh, it's a good spot for him. We're going up against the lefty again? We like Boston. I don't, I don't mean to be repetitive, but they're pretty much gonna all be in play for us
Speaker 2 00:33:48 Here. Yeah. JD 44 too. Same thing. Yeah.
Speaker 1 00:33:50 Yep. Let's see. How's Margo Ben. Okay. Nothing special.
Speaker 2 00:33:54 He's better again. He's better against lefties. Yeah.
Speaker 1 00:33:57 I man seeing these at 41, I know he is been slumping, but he does get the lefty match up there. So it could be a spot for him. Let's see. Probably, I mean, would you play Verdugo versus Kiel? Does that even matter
Speaker 2 00:34:09 To you? I think Kiel is just any, if you're in the lineup, you're in, it's in
Speaker 1 00:34:14 Play. Okay. Okay. Uh, key case at 36, as we've mentioned, let's see anybody that value you guy. Oh, where's our alright. We're scrolling. We're scrolling McCarthy. 32. McCarthy's 32. Was you playing against the lefty? Lower?
Speaker 2 00:34:27 Yeah. He, in that 18 two loss Bailey falter was the starter went. Yeah.
Speaker 1 00:34:32 Bailey falter looked good by the way we tied him.
Speaker 2 00:34:35 He did look good. So the seventh of the did the offense for
Speaker 1 00:34:39 Awesome Hayes, a good value. I know he's been struggling, but 32 against a lofty,
Speaker 2 00:34:43 Just like not been good against lefty this year I've went. I've played that spot a lot. Um, like I would rather just probably play new bar three K, sure. Who continues to fast?
Speaker 1 00:34:52 He'll it off. He'll it off at three K. That's fine. I I'm in there.
Speaker 2 00:34:55 Corbin. Carol, maybe the fastest human being ever created. I
Speaker 1 00:34:59 Played him his first game there. Yeah. He got, he had a couple hits. He had the double.
Speaker 2 00:35:03 Um, did you see him run around the bases? It was like the most like gazelle looking thing I've ever seen in my life. Yeah.
Speaker 1 00:35:09 He's only 2100 bucks. I mean, again, it's like a lefty, but it doesn't matter. He's been hitting, so yeah,
Speaker 2 00:35:14 He's in the lineup. I think he's
Speaker 1 00:35:15 Super talented at 21. Yeah, that would be a, that'd probably be a lock in right at 2100 for Corbin. Carol.
Speaker 2 00:35:21 The only thing I would say is because the lefty would like deter me from it, but it's close. It's very close. If you're, if you wanna lock it in, I'm per I'm fine
Speaker 1 00:35:31 With it because I mean, we're gonna try to spend up for some Boston bats here. Right? So we're gonna need yep. Gonna need to find some value somewhere.
Speaker 2 00:35:37 Yeah. We're gonna go. We're gonna go full stack Boston.
Speaker 1 00:35:41 Probably gonna go full stack Boston
Speaker 2 00:35:42 Here. We're going full stack. I think the last maybe bub Thompson from if we're I kind of like this game in general. I
Speaker 1 00:35:50 Mean he could go to Nick Gordon route too. He's 2200 outfield. I know you mentioned him at second base, but he does have that dual eligibility. So if you didn't wanna, yeah, they came too. He didn't wanna go Carol. If Carol's not in the lineup, like just a pivot to Nick Gordon could maybe,
Speaker 2 00:36:01 Well did they not play today? Okay. Like he sat Wednesday. They didn't play today. Oh yeah. They're playing. Hold on. They're playing right now. He's hitting pretty good. Six against Woodruff. He's over for two, but I think six
Speaker 1 00:36:14 Wayne Thomas keeps hitting 2100.
Speaker 2 00:36:17 Yes. Guess? Yeah. Guess what came? I played lane Thomas and
Speaker 1 00:36:20 Uh, the over three. Over
Speaker 2 00:36:22 Three. Yeah. Yeah. Three strikeouts. Yeah. Carilion had three strikeouts that game. John
Speaker 1 00:36:27 Did he, were they all against lane Thomas?
Speaker 2 00:36:29 They were. They actually were. Yeah. That's tough. But I do again. I like, I weirdly again, like the nationals, who've kind of been good
Speaker 1 00:36:37 Offensively. Lot. Beer link keeps sitting another 2100 guy that we've been playing a
Speaker 2 00:36:40 Lot of. Yep. We have been playing a lot of Beerly. It's
Speaker 1 00:36:42 Good call. Um, so you know some cheapy outfielders here. Definitely some cheap outfielders here. All right. Gimme your home run. Call
Speaker 2 00:36:47 Home run. Call. Who do we like on this slate? Everybody named every player. I think in the player pool.
Speaker 1 00:36:55 Are you gonna go by?
Speaker 2 00:36:57 I feel like it's just like, you have to go Boston and Kel dude. No, I'll go Mets cuz it's also just, I grey I'll go Lonzo. Okay. On just take Boston.
Speaker 1 00:37:09 How gonna go Andrew? He is hot.
Speaker 2 00:37:11 Yeah. They just came back and won that
Speaker 1 00:37:13 Game. Did they did JD finish it off?
Speaker 2 00:37:15 No, he walked RF Snyder, infield single win. The game
Speaker 1 00:37:20 Infield. Single walk off is how they won that.
Speaker 2 00:37:22 Yep. Infield single walk off.
Speaker 1 00:37:24 Wow. Impressive. All right. So let's make this line pitching, going top, top. Are we going double mid, like I know double mids worked the other day.
Speaker 2 00:37:33 We just have to decide on what Montgomery
Speaker 1 00:37:35 Definitely Montgomery for me.
Speaker 2 00:37:37 Yeah. Montgomery. And
Speaker 1 00:37:40 I mean, the problem is like Morton's running up against Alara would
Speaker 2 00:37:43 We hate going Luis Castillo or
Speaker 1 00:37:46 No? I'm okay with Castillo
Speaker 2 00:37:48 Or McCullers?
Speaker 1 00:37:49 My, my problem with McCull has just been his, how deep has been going in again, like the pitches have been there, but he hasn't been going
Speaker 2 00:37:55 Three, three and four walks. Yeah. There's been 10 walks and three starts.
Speaker 1 00:37:59 Yeah. For arm injury. Like sometimes that goes right. Mor I mean, again, the Morton against Alkin tower is the problem for me, but he has been so good at home, so
Speaker 2 00:38:07 It's so good. And so there's like so much upside at times.
Speaker 1 00:38:10 Yeah.
Speaker 2 00:38:11 40 fancy points against him at a couple starts go
Speaker 1 00:38:14 Who's there from like police sack out there. Cleveland.
Speaker 2 00:38:18 We could, we like the spring's creamer range. Would we wanna go? One of
Speaker 1 00:38:22 Those could,
Speaker 2 00:38:23 Yeah, like obviously creamer
Speaker 1 00:38:25 Has lineup. I wanna go, I want some firepower here. Let's go. Morton. Let's
Speaker 2 00:38:29 Go. Morton has been kind of nuts. Yeah. When he's good. So Morton Montgomery. Yep.
Speaker 1 00:38:34 And then character. I
Speaker 2 00:38:35 Would, I wanna say col not cold Wong con Wong, but like, I guess realistically he's not line. He could just say play Peck, right?
Speaker 1 00:38:44 Yeah. Or Reese McGuire. They're all the similar price. 23, 21. And PKI is actually two K. Okay.
Speaker 2 00:38:50 So let's do you wanna do con Wong? Yeah. As
Speaker 1 00:38:53 The, I think it's gonna be, I think con Wong's gonna start here.
Speaker 2 00:38:55 Yeah. He probably starts the rest of the year. What's what is the downside to,
Speaker 1 00:38:59 I mean, he was one of the, he was the catching prospect. They got back in the muy bet trade. Right? The has nine home runs and 13 games play 'em and figure it out if you actually have something here. So right. First base.
Speaker 2 00:39:10 Well where's our, we could just it's first. Where's our value. Do we wanna play gunner Henderson? Is that a value that we want?
Speaker 1 00:39:19 Where is he? He
Speaker 2 00:39:20 Did mention the lefty. Instead we could play Manuel error, 31. Like those are probably two of our better values.
Speaker 1 00:39:27 Well, I guess it depended on what Boston guys you wanted to play.
Speaker 2 00:39:30 That's true. Well then I wanna play Trevor story. Okay.
Speaker 1 00:39:34 So, well, I'll agree with you I'll
Speaker 2 00:39:36 For sure. I wanna play jar.
Speaker 1 00:39:37 What story?
Speaker 2 00:39:38 In lefty or he gets a lefty in Ben way.
Speaker 1 00:39:43 Oof. I said Xander is my home run guy.
Speaker 2 00:39:46 Yeah. Xander's three 70. He has a 3 72 average against lefties this year.
Speaker 1 00:39:51 Yeah. And so that's so with Connor long Trevor story, Xander Bogarts and our two pitchers, we have 3,900 a player. So we do know there was a like eight, two K Nick Gordon. We liked right.
Speaker 2 00:40:02 Nick Gordon Corbin, Carol Lane. Thomas.
Speaker 1 00:40:05 Yeah. Um, I'll throw Corbin Carol in there. Cause I just think he has the most upside of that group.
Speaker 2 00:40:09 Yeah. Cuz he there's power in there. Speed. Yeah. Yeah.
Speaker 1 00:40:13 So that's 43 50. You like Lonzo at
Speaker 2 00:40:17 First place. I, I like Alonzo for a home run
Speaker 1 00:40:20 Or you play do
Speaker 2 00:40:22 We like E 500? I don't,
Speaker 1 00:40:24 He hasn't even really been that. Great.
Speaker 2 00:40:26 I know he's been
Speaker 1 00:40:26 Bad. Nate Lowe just opposite stack of that against Veta.
Speaker 2 00:40:30 Yeah. I'm fine with that. He's been so good.
Speaker 1 00:40:32 3,900 from Nate low. Yeah.
Speaker 2 00:40:34 He's been so
Speaker 1 00:40:34 Good. $4,500 a player. Now we could throw devs in. If you wanted to, to four stack that or you can pick, you
Speaker 2 00:40:44 Know, that's our third base.
Speaker 1 00:40:45 Well, that's what I'm saying. If we don't go there, you mentioned,
Speaker 2 00:40:48 I think there, I feel like it's devs at the top or then Rivera or Henderson. Maybe I'm misreading
Speaker 1 00:40:55 That I would go. I would probably go Henderson over Rivera. Just because again, we're talking about a guy that just we're talking G upside, right? Like yeah. We're playing perform Carol against the lefty because he has power and speed. Like when don't we just play Henderson against lefty because he has power and speed here.
Speaker 2 00:41:09 I guess it just comes down to the Evers
Speaker 1 00:41:11 Or we go all the way down to play Kendall Ario against the lefty. If we, but you
Speaker 2 00:41:17 Are we five stacking socks here? Are we gonna get a cause?
Speaker 1 00:41:20 No, I don't think we're we got three right now. I could do a four stack.
Speaker 2 00:41:24 Cause I'm gonna be playing five stacks of the socks. Five stacks. Yeah, absolutely. I mean, look, if they go, if they score 10 runs off Dallas Kiel in three innings and then have like six innings of against the bullpen, like sure. You know, so you,
Speaker 1 00:41:41 What you wanna go devs and then
Speaker 2 00:41:44 Maybe like,
Speaker 1 00:41:45 Do you, do you play? Yeah. Fam I guess what does that give us? So probably gives us,
Speaker 2 00:41:50 I
Speaker 1 00:41:51 Really like, so if we play five Boston, red Sox, we have story devs. Bogarts fam Connor Wong. Our final outfield spot is 3,200. Which Jake McCarthy
Speaker 2 00:42:03 Running a little D back somewhere
Speaker 1 00:42:05 Back daks lefties against Lauer. Is it the greatest play in the world? Probably not, but we now have a Carol McCarthy duo.
Speaker 2 00:42:13 Well they're hitting McCarthy. They hit him second against beter. I
Speaker 1 00:42:17 Saw,
Speaker 2 00:42:18 I know like he's just batting. He's just at the top of the lineup. Like regardless,
Speaker 1 00:42:24 I don't even know. I mean, well, okay. Would you play Newbar or McCarthy?
Speaker 2 00:42:27 Newbar okay. I play new bar.
Speaker 1 00:42:29 We love you Jake. Don't take it person.
Speaker 2 00:42:31 We no, yeah, don't take it personally. Don't I don't wanna get MJ meme and you know, just looking at the,
Speaker 1 00:42:36 Yeah, Newbar's really good
Speaker 2 00:42:38 Though. Newbar's been so good. He's been so
Speaker 1 00:42:40 Good. He's gonna lead off in front of our ad on gold Schmid and all that group. So
Speaker 2 00:42:43 Yeah, that's the thing. Even if Newbar's hitting singles, which he hasn't cause he did hitting power. I mean, you know, we're scoring runs, dude. We're getting runs in bunches here.
Speaker 1 00:42:54 Actually the good thing about going Carol, assuming he's in the lineup. If not, we could go obviously Thomas there. Whereas Thomas was also
Speaker 2 00:43:01 21 lane, Thomas 21, Nick Gordon, 22, like we have so many options. So
Speaker 1 00:43:06 The good thing with going with those guys is that if Reese McGuire is the catcher, we have the $200 to go up from Connor Longdale. So playing the 2100 outfielder, would you rather lane Thomas or would you rather Corbin?
Speaker 2 00:43:21 Carroll? I mean lane Thomas let's see against lefties has a 1 72 ISO. I mean he has been great. He's just been better lately, right? He's been last
Speaker 1 00:43:35 2 97, 9 49 op
Speaker 2 00:43:37 Yeah. Second half in general. He's been good. 8 0 7 ops, 1 96, ISO 3 48. What was like good. Just since the all star break.
Speaker 1 00:43:45 I with this on the, at home this year, he's hitting 180 2, but on the road where they're playing this game, 2 99, 8 44. So you know, better split spot for him here against a lefty. Better matchup spot for him on the road. Are you on fan grass right now? Yeah. Can you do his road lefty matchup splits
Speaker 2 00:44:07 Road lefty hitting John. Yeah, 3 24, 9 19 ops 2 35 ISO 3 88.
Speaker 1 00:44:18 Woo. Is that the answer or do we just go with the talent because Corbin, Carol obviously get the ceiling. So
Speaker 2 00:44:25 Let's go Corbin Carol for the ceiling. Okay. We're already brought a, we're running a five
Speaker 1 00:44:29 If you're not in the line, like we're perfect. Have to pivot. We're perfectly okay with the pivot. Yeah.
Speaker 2 00:44:33 Yep. Agreed. I think this is the, I think this is the play. So
Speaker 1 00:44:36 This is what we got. We got a five man, Boston red Sox stack against Dallas. He the Chuck for sure.
Speaker 2 00:44:43 This is the chalk, but you know what might not, you know what you could like, you could
Speaker 1 00:44:48 Separate yourself by the pitching. We're I think we're differing by the
Speaker 2 00:44:50 Pitching. Agreed. Yeah. Agreed. I think you're gonna, I think honestly, I think you're gonna get both these guys, like middle of the ownership pool. Like I don't think either of them are gonna be like popping because they do
Speaker 1 00:45:01 Think, well, we had bingo on Montgomery. He was only like what? 21%. Very
Speaker 2 00:45:04 Low. Yeah. Very low. Yeah. Very low owned on a slate with, I don't remember who was on that site, but there were elite arms.
Speaker 1 00:45:11 Yeah. Yeah. We and we went down and we got the cheaper roster ship there again. I don't think Montgomery's gonna go overlooked because he just shut out the Cubs and now he's home. That's fair. But I do think Morton because he's against Alkin tower is gonna probably have the lower roster ship. So I'm with it. So our lineup here today, Jordan Montgomery, Charlie Morton at pitching Connor Wong and or any boss and catcher, we have enough salary to go out to east McGuire. If he's Nate low, Nathaniel Lowe against Nick Veta at first base, $3,900. Trevor story Rael ever Xander BOGOs yet you've heard that right? We're just rolling. Red Sox against Sal outfield, Corbin Carol at $2,100. Can't pivot to lane Thomas. If you want to go to there, can't pivot to Nick Gordon, if you want to go to there. So Matt Ling also, if you want to go there, keeping outfield plenty of two K outfielders for you to use Tommy fam at 4,500, our final Boston, red Sox, part of that stack. And then we're going with Lars new bar at three K. If you wanted a mini stack Arizona, we're perfectly fine going Jake McCarthy. We love you. He's great. So that is our lineup for Friday, September 2nd, 13 games slate. One final note about Friday, September 2nd, James it's uh, it's my birthday today. So
Speaker 2 00:46:16 Happy birthday buddy.
Speaker 1 00:46:17 Thanks. So in honor of my birthday, no, we're we're stacking red Sox. That's what we're true.
Speaker 2 00:46:22 This is true. This is a good, this would be an, this would be the perfect birthday gift into the weekend. Huh? Boston just five, five stack just 20 runs off Dallas and
Speaker 1 00:46:31 Like it would be glorious. Uh, another great thing is we've now added James, a little graphic here on this, on this template, you know that we have going on here. We've talked about the NFL AllPro Acus package that we got going on. Fantasy alarm.com/allpro used promo code NFL. 50 saves you 50% off the AllPro package there. And that spans the entire six months of the NFL seasons, 50% off the first six months of the NFL season there. And you get X to all DFS. So it's not just the NFL it's college football. It's the NFL. It's the NBA that starts up in October. It's the NHL that starts up in October. It's the rest of the lb season. It's Counterstrike it's league of legends, DFS. It's NASCAR. It's PGA. When that starts back up, it's EPL, that's going on. Like you name it, we cover it.
Speaker 1 00:47:24 And you get that as part of this AllPro package, you say 50% off the first six months using promo code NFL 50. And not only that, not only do you get access to all of our DFS coverage for all of those sports, you get access to our premium discord, James, which is, I think maybe the, maybe one of the best features of it all is that you get direct access to myself. James Grande, Howard bender, Andrew Cooper, you know, Justin in RLA and Colby Conway server video, Pete Cole, Ray Coon, like Matt sells Dan Mailin. The whole crew is in there answering your star sick questions every day.
