Speaker 0 00:00:00 Ladies and John, you're listening to the fantasy alarm, lb DFS podcast with host John IBA and James Grande.
Speaker 1 00:00:10 What's going on nation, John and PEBA here with James Grande. Welcome me to the quick pitch, MLB DFS live stream and podcast recording here for Friday's 12 game main slate, James. Well, everybody is certainly having their focus and attention turned to the NFL week. One kicking off Thursday night, we saw the bills, just destroy the defending super bowl champion Los Angeles. Right? You and I, we still got baseball to go over. So I'm gonna be on the playbook here for Friday's 12 gamer. So we got a big slate to talk about.
Speaker 2 00:00:38 Yeah. Much different than the, the travel day. The getaway day people call Thursday three, three games late in the morning or in the afternoon, three games late in the evening. It was a, it was definitely getaway John. Yeah. Getaway day, John. It was definitely a stay away day, John. So good to see a whole bunch of games on one slate here on Friday. Yeah,
Speaker 1 00:01:00 100%. So let's just get into it. Cuz we do have a lot to talk about here. Go to pitcher. Some interesting NAS, right? Robbie, Ray against Atlanta. We talk about strikeout potential. Ray's a big strikeout guy. Atlanta's a big strikeout team. He's $10,500. Charlie Morton, who you and I have kind of picked spots for at times this year, he goes up against Seattle. We've talked about Seattle, a ton of home runs. But you know, other than that, their of offense has been somewhat lacking a little bit of late 10,000, $200 for him. And then Dustin may is still up over $10,000. He's drawing the San Diego pads in San Diego, 10 K above range. Who you, we do. We like anybody. I'll start it off that way. Is there anybody that you like here?
Speaker 2 00:01:36 I mean, I like the form that Robbie Ray is in. I don't necessarily like the matchup. I mean, he's been really good. Six, six straight starts of two earn runs or less six plus innings. So, you know, math, six straight quality starts. We're getting a bunch of strikeouts outside of the Cleveland start. We know Cleveland can not strike out at times. Right. They're just good at putting the ball in play. So you can go to Ray. It's a tough lineup. Atlanta has a lot of good averages and numbers against lefties. On the flip side, I do probably like Morton the best over 10 K. I think that he has the most upside in the matchup he's in, you know, we do have to worry about it that maybe the pitch count is going to settle in the nineties and we're not gonna see a hundred plus anymore. And that means at one pitches, he might get pulled against the Marlins, you know, before he gets his quality start over on your, in your fando lineups, which obviously hurts. Yeah. So yeah, I think Morton is probably the preferred 10 K over guy. I don't think I'm gonna go to dust may.
Speaker 1 00:02:36 Yeah, I don't think I'm gonna go, Dustin. He just faced San Diego as well. They got to him for six runs. He had walked five in that game, so yeah. It's yeah. I'm with you there. So Ray and Mor I think are both in they're facing one another. So pick your poison there. Hope you get hope you pick right cigar at 99. Frank Montes at 97 is, I don't know if Rasmussen's gonna pitch or not on this game. He was scratched the other day,
Speaker 2 00:02:59 Leave
Speaker 1 00:02:59 On the sixth. So we'll see if, whether or not he is actually gonna be available. MC colors that nine K against the angels. That's your nine. Why
Speaker 2 00:03:07 Is it always the raise dude? Why is it always the race that we have problems with? Every time there's a picture that's scratched or on this podcast, it's always the raised. So I like Montes current form. He's looked a little better. The strikeouts have been there. Three straight games with six or more. Yep. The 10 he gets to match up that he just had five scoreless. Yeah. Pitch
Speaker 1 00:03:26 Count is up there over 90. He pitches again, which is nice.
Speaker 2 00:03:28 Yep. And probably McCull is the other guy in this chair pitch. We don't have to another, we just don't. He's fresh. Like he, this guy is like one of the more fresh pitchers in baseball right now. He didn't, he, his arm is getting back to where it was. He's at a hundred pitches now, like walks. He
Speaker 1 00:03:43 Gets out's killing him right now. You know, he just faced the angels five and two thirds, two earn runs and allow four walks, seven strike cuts. Got you. 20 fancy points in a win. The walk's 4, 3, 3, and four. If he could just control it a bit, you know, he might be able to pitch a little bit deeper into the games. He's also in a real, I mean, again, you're facing Mike trout, so there's always a risk right now. So I'm with you there. Montes. Probably what colors in the nine K range. Eight K guys here we have Lola Gedo Quantro Stripling and clinger. Stripling's been a guy that I've gone to. Yeah. A few times this season, he just is a professional pitcher. Right? Like we talk about quality starts with FRA Amber. Uh, obviously not the level of pitcher Stripling to FRA Amber, but quality starts force rate.
Speaker 2 00:04:28 Yep.
Speaker 1 00:04:29 So,
Speaker 2 00:04:29 You know, he just skip past our boy Nathan alone. And that's not a true tall task as of right now. But I agree. I do think Stripling is in a great spot because other than Nathaniel low, you know, SIM's been okay lately.
Speaker 1 00:04:40 Yeah. Top of the line has guy obviously.
Speaker 2 00:04:42 Yeah, you're right. It's but it's that it's like once you get past the top of the lineup, there's not a lot of punch that Texas has. So yeah. I could get behind some Stripling. Lalo we know has torment upside. We just saw six scoreless, nine strikeouts. His last time out, he was bruising. A couple starts to go against Philly and he's looked pretty good. Yeah. I think Gito is gonna be popular. I don't know if it's something I wanna buy into, but I think he's gonna be popular. Cause he's going into Oakland pitcher's
Speaker 1 00:05:09 Park Gito is a guy that, that has the sabermetrics that you want. But so far he hasn't really turned that corner yet. You know?
Speaker 2 00:05:17 Not like Lance Lynn, right? Like his own teammate turned the corner and correct. He just
Speaker 1 00:05:21 Has him. Yeah. You go to fan grafts, look at Gito is like, ER, his expected era is like two runs less than is really. So just getting, I
Speaker 2 00:05:29 Think he's gonna be popular though. 8,500 in Oakland, like yeah. Yep. I could see a lot of people gravitating towards him.
Speaker 1 00:05:36 I agree. A guy that we talked about that had the save metrics going against him. Brian BEO. Good start against Texas. Last time out. Six shutout, only one walk, five strikeouts. Baltimore's just been such a pesty team. You know, they're in Baltimore, red Sox have really struggled against Baltimore this season and he is not really free anymore. Right. He's seven K. He is not, you know, the six K pitch that he wants was, but still, you know, if you're a believer in arm talent, right. This is a top 20 top 30 prospect in baseball in terms. And finally seemingly rounding out into form last couple stars have been okay. You know, he was doing well in Minnesota, walked a couple guys and they got ended up getting to him. So right. Yeah. Again, just kind of mentioning him that there's some arm talent upside, but we know Baltimore's been a little bit tough. What are your thoughts on sort of the rest of this under seven K range
Speaker 2 00:06:23 I'm with you on BEO? By the way, the one thing Baltimore does is hit for power. The one thing BEO doesn't allow is power. So I think it's a really
Speaker 1 00:06:31 Big ground ball rate for him. So
Speaker 2 00:06:32 Yeah. I think it's a good recipe for him here against Baltimore. I mean, I like we have a Chos game, so you can't go Davies 65. Like I like that price for Davies. Not in Chos I just don't. I don't see it, John. I don't know if you have anything. I
Speaker 1 00:06:49 Got nothing. You're kind of clicking around. I mean, you mentioned it the other day. Like how many times we go and try to like play against Dylan Bundy and then Dylan Bundy, like dude,
Speaker 2 00:06:57 He has
Speaker 1 00:06:57 Been, has an okay start.
Speaker 2 00:06:59 Oh my gosh. He, I mean, just like one start this year, 2, 3, 3 times. This year he's allowed more than four runs.
Speaker 1 00:07:10 He has. I say he hasn't allowed more than two. Earn runs in quick math here looks like six straight starts, six straight starts. He hasn't allowed more than two on runs. So the problem is he also only goes five,
Speaker 2 00:07:20 Five.
Speaker 1 00:07:20 Yeah. So he doesn't really pitch deep into games, but he doesn't get hurt. He doesn't really strike anybody out, but he doesn't give up a lot of hits. Like <laugh>,
Speaker 2 00:07:28 It's just a different guy. Like he's
Speaker 1 00:07:30 Someone that takes also win 16 points, 21 points, right? Yeah. If you think Minnesota at home against Cal Quantro can get a lead.
Speaker 2 00:07:40 What's his strikeout upside though here. Like none,
Speaker 1 00:07:43 But Cleveland
Speaker 2 00:07:43 Just does not strike
Speaker 1 00:07:45 Out. It's yeah, but if you get a start at 60 to a hundred, like you did against the Texas there five and a third one earned two strikeouts, 16 fancy points. I mean 6,216 fancy points. I don't know. You
Speaker 2 00:07:58 Know, I get it. I get it. But like there is legitimate POS. There is a legitimate possibility. He does not get one strike out here.
Speaker 1 00:08:08 I agree. I'm not gonna argue
Speaker 2 00:08:10 That. And he just did it against Houston a few games ago and like almost like a similar environment, right? Like Houston's not a team who strikes out a lot. Cleveland is similar, but I get it there's there is nothing down here.
Speaker 1 00:08:23 Dare I.
Speaker 2 00:08:24 Patrick Corbin
Speaker 1 00:08:26 Mentioned of Patrick Corbin played to you. Maybe last two starts one earned in each, maybe, you know, 22 and 25 fantasy points.
Speaker 2 00:08:35 Last time he faced Philly sands, Bryce Harper. He did make it out of the first time. Wow. Thought I mentioned we,
Speaker 1 00:08:42 We listen. What do we know about the Phillies? Right? BOM hits lefties, Hoskins hits lefties. I think real Muto tripled in that game.
Speaker 2 00:08:50 CAS Harper hit Harper hits left. Well, Cass I think is on the IL
Speaker 1 00:08:54 Our boy, uh, Ling. Then you know he's gonna be out there. Yep. No, listen, I get it right. We don't want, we don't want to play Patrick Corbin, but the last two starts. Everybody has stacked against Patrick Corbin. Yep. And he's been the reason why you likely didn't cash if you stack Mets and red. So I
Speaker 2 00:09:13 Don't know. I don't hate it. I don't hate it. I'm
Speaker 1 00:09:15 Also, it's not perfect. In two starts against Philadelphia this year. He's pitchy, total of four innings, allowing 15 runs, eight of them earned four home runs. So pretty good. He has an 18 era in four innings against Philly this year. So, you know, does he have it left? No, probably not. But if you know, 12 came slate. If you're, if you are in the three max, the $20 three max, would you make a Corbin lineup? Just to be different?
Speaker 2 00:09:43 I feel like I could get different with like Brian BEO. Okay. Enough. Because well
Speaker 1 00:09:49 We have cores on this slate, right? Yeah.
Speaker 2 00:09:51 But the, the one thing I'll say about cores is that without even looking, they don't price anyone up at cores anymore. Um, actually, you know what? This
Speaker 1 00:10:00 Is. Well, they didn't price the brewers up the other day and, and they went off right. Yelling home. Maybe they cared a little bit here. Rent for Homeward.
Speaker 2 00:10:07 Yeah. They cared a little bit here. They're a little priced up. Like the Diamondbacks have four players over $4,000. Yeah. Not Jake McCarthy.
Speaker 1 00:10:16 So obviously,
Speaker 2 00:10:17 Well I like maybe John, maybe. All right. Maybe in a three max.
Speaker 1 00:10:21 All right. Catch your position then. Where are we? Where are we targeting
Speaker 2 00:10:24 Here? I mean, you can go Ruman against BEO. Richmond has definitely been better from the left side. He's been pretty good lately. Nine 18 ops. I think you can go Alejandro Kirk. He's also been starting to heat up three multi hit games. Those last four, two of which have been three plus both Braves catchers hit lefties. Well, I thinks I say
Speaker 1 00:10:45 You firmly just walking by
Speaker 2 00:10:46 Here. No firmly and play.
Speaker 1 00:10:48 I might take Sal over the group.
Speaker 2 00:10:50 Yeah. I probably I'd probably take Sal over the group as well. I
Speaker 1 00:10:53 50 or 5,100 bucks is the cheapest of the four.
Speaker 2 00:10:56 Yeah. He doesn't feel like your typical catcher. Right? Cause he hit 48 home runs last year 90.
Speaker 1 00:11:01 He was on fire right now. Right. Three 50 thousands, three bombs. So yeah. You know, if obviously the home run troubles, aren't gonna be what they were last year, but you know, he's still that guy powers there. I do like, I don't mind again that the Atlantic catcher is, like you said, we're, I mean, it all depends if you're playing Ray or not. Of course. Right.
Speaker 2 00:11:18 I mean Kelly and Coors.
Speaker 1 00:11:19 Yeah. Kelly and Coors, even though we like him better against lefty could be fine. Travino at 34 over or <inaudible> if he's in the lineup maybe.
Speaker 2 00:11:28 Yeah. I was actually gonna suggest your boy cost five for five on what is that? Monday. Tuesday.
Speaker 1 00:11:34 Yeah. Five for five. Does good things for your recent 10 game averages, you know? Yeah.
Speaker 2 00:11:39 I'd say so
Speaker 1 00:11:39 3 53 with a 9 96 after a five for five, which included two doubles in a Homer. But yeah, man,
Speaker 2 00:11:45 It was seven. Yeah. Seven for 29. John had the nine games before that.
Speaker 1 00:11:49 Yeah. I mean, I keep throwing 'em out there, but whatever, you know, Lynch, we know isn't anything worthwhile. So I'm down with that
Speaker 2 00:11:55 Ronda. Yeah.
Speaker 1 00:11:56 Grand doll's. Okay. I kinda hope you just give us Debbie again so we can just stand down, be in court. We, you know, Montes has had his troubles in Yankee stadium so far. Sure. So if he's in there, sure. Any Boston catcher, whether it's Connor Wong or Reese McGuire Wongs 24. McGuire's 22. Yeah. Reese. McGuire's still raking 3 57, right? Like they're, they're playing 'em they're still playing him. I yep. So whoever, whatever Boston catchers in the lineup, I have some interest in here against VO for sure.
Speaker 2 00:12:25 Agreed. Okay.
Speaker 1 00:12:26 First base position. Otani at the top. We've had success playing him. Of course, lately Freeman and Vladi. Uh, Dunning got lit up by Bo that Boston, that was our five man stack was against Dunning. So, you know, Vladi and at 57, uh, something to tope at CRO against a righty and Davey in cos I think what we're gonna like and pro he's probably chalked. Do you think CRO
Speaker 2 00:12:47 He's just struggling. He's just been struggling, but probably yeah.
Speaker 1 00:12:51 Home against a righty has just been his mash spot. This
Speaker 2 00:12:53 Christian Walker has just been a lot better. Yeah. In cores for like $700 cheaper. So I wonder what their roster ship comparison will be.
Speaker 1 00:13:02 I agree. Reese is hit in two 90. Last 10. We talked about it better against
Speaker 2 00:13:06 Lefties.
Speaker 1 00:13:07 Yeah. Better against lefties rather. Correct. Josh bell against may. Let's see. Nathaniel
Speaker 2 00:13:13 Walker low look, look at us. Yeah. Walker and low this little tear. I, I
Speaker 1 00:13:17 Walker's probably our guy. I 45 if we're not, if we're not gonna go up.
Speaker 2 00:13:22 Yeah.
Speaker 1 00:13:23 If we're not gonna go up, I, again, I don't wanna play low cause I'm probably wanna play tripling personally. Okay. But obviously if you're not playing tripling, you know, Nathaniel Lowe has been a guy we've leaned heavily in on uh, Homer again the other day. Uh, not when he played. So you know, a really hot streak for him, uh, at the moment there, uh, nailer against Bundy. Again, we talked about it. Bundy just doesn't give up anything right now. So, uh, kind of tough to lean on that. We don't think much of Capri Abra. Good. 4k is probably a cash game play. Let's see any value in your range here.
Speaker 2 00:13:55 Seth brown, 3000 against Gedo he's on a little power surge right now. Four home runs in his last three games. Yep. Luke VO against writing Vos been pretty good lately. Two for three off Wayno three hits the game before with a home run thousand Montgomery start. So
Speaker 1 00:14:12 We weren't in on know. But has he been pitching well or
Speaker 2 00:14:15 Is it just no, he hasn't. He, I don't know what the,
Speaker 1 00:14:17 Yeah. Why is he 9,900.
Speaker 2 00:14:19 All no idea. Ellie ho has been heating up a little bit. John Homer the other day he gets Kyle Davies in cores. So I think there's some pretty good value plays here. Yeah.
Speaker 1 00:14:28 The other day. And we're like the one guy that nobody in cores, their place that
Speaker 2 00:14:30 Literally the one until they scored 12 runs and like hit a walk off home, run after that. And we were like, what the heck just
Speaker 1 00:14:38 Happened? That came quick, Bruce. So is not really doing anything but de doess facing lefty.
Speaker 2 00:14:43 He led off by the way. Did he? Yeah, he led off,
Speaker 1 00:14:46 But we know historically he is been decent against lefties. So. All right. Second base position. What in the world am I looking at here? Huh?
Speaker 2 00:14:55 What? Draftings being? What
Speaker 1 00:14:57 Drafting in the world are we doing? Drafting?
Speaker 2 00:15:00 Draftings being draftings here. John.
Speaker 1 00:15:02 What, what are we doing? Draft Kings here. Moy bets with second base eligibility here. You know, he's Moy bets. So
Speaker 2 00:15:08 We've got season second base.
Speaker 1 00:15:10 Yeah. Ooky bet's the second baseman here. Whatever Jose Al Jose Altuve. You see how many games, you know, ball season when Moy bets has second base eligibility.
Speaker 2 00:15:18 So he's played. So
Speaker 1 00:15:20 He's been playing lately. I know he is been for
Speaker 2 00:15:21 The record. He has six games at second. This year seven last year. Yeah,
Speaker 1 00:15:26 No, he is a second base. He's got games there. It's football season. So bets, the intern forgot to click off the check-in base eligibility tab for him. So sure. Bats at 63 Altuve against Lorenzen off the IL at 61, I think is fine story. And a red Sox stack at 52 feels expensive, but he's been hitting them fairly well. But my boy Jimenez. So we talked about the other day, three straight games at two hits stolen base the other night as well. So I'm okay with him against Bundy here. If he gets on, maybe he runs and gets that 11 fantasy points. Rojas probably chalky against mark connect man against Davies like chorus. So we just know Chos is gonna be a thing. You mentioned Jonathan India, the other day, three more hits for $4,600 in that midrange, Johns, Agora, Luci, AIA, both get lefties in GFO. We got some of colors, Brandon Lao, 40 to a hundred lefty and Yankee stadium. You know, where, what are your thoughts here? A lot of guys, I just rattled
Speaker 2 00:16:21 Off. I like Jima. Rojas is fine. Cores. McMan is fine. Cores. I like India. Marte fine cores, Serra, fine. The rest of the position. Like you can play Chron worth. He's hot. He's over in two games in a row hits in three or four. So you can go there. But I think the, then we move to the valley. Like I like playing gr GFA, mostly against left. He and Brent allows been he's most he's mostly been bad.
Speaker 1 00:16:47 Yep. Alan trio. Right? Is that where we're going with that pronunciation? There he is been, he's been decent. He gets Davies. Could be a spot there at the course play. Yeah. I mean, I don't mean to be repetitive, right? Like all of course is gonna be in play here. So Garrison's at 32. Henderson's at 33.
Speaker 2 00:17:02 Risso has been so good. He's even been better lately than he was earlier. I know
Speaker 1 00:17:07 Home runs again. He's you know, he's just, he's killing it. He's killing it. Homered off Sandy crying lot the other day. So not really scared. You know, it is a left righty lefty matchup for him as well. So like he even has like the split side advantage there for him. So that could be a thing. Any other guys here for you? Kevin? Probably 27
Speaker 2 00:17:28 Maybe. Yeah, it is stack. That's fine. A
Speaker 1 00:17:30 Stack. Yeah. Let's see. I got nothing else though.
Speaker 2 00:17:33 You let's go to our favorite position of
Speaker 1 00:17:35 Third base here. No RDO today. So, you know, we can't go there. Ramirez Isma Riley wit devs. Bregman is sort of the, the usual suspect. Suarez has been hitting home runs again though,
Speaker 2 00:17:48 Right? Yeah. All he does is hit home runs. Yeah. So all we can bank on right now, two more
Speaker 1 00:17:52 The other day
Speaker 2 00:17:53 He does have that GPP winning upside. I think Riley could be interesting as a one off performance only cuz Robbie Ray is good.
Speaker 1 00:18:01 I'm probably leaning into Bregman here against the re home Lorenzen coming off the IO.
Speaker 2 00:18:07 It's funny cuz I think a lot of people probably look at devs over Bregman just like historically like right. Lefty for devs is as good as it's he's just
Speaker 1 00:18:16 In the last so
Speaker 2 00:18:16 Cold. Right? He's been so, so cold.
Speaker 1 00:18:18 His last home run was August 14th.
Speaker 2 00:18:21 I mean I'm team Bregman. I could definitely see the merit behind getting behind devs. Like Austin off is very good. Lefties. Don't have much of a problem in Baltimore. Like they weren't affected by the wall switch up. So, and
Speaker 1 00:18:32 This's probably not giving you a lot of rash up there because they gave you multi-position eligibility in Rojas and McMahon. They can, you just play them both. So BOM has a pivoted 47 Turner face haunted 46. Yeah
Speaker 2 00:18:43 Guys. He's not stewed. He's actually getting even better. Yeah. He just keeps hitting. Yeah.
Speaker 1 00:18:47 Yeah. A little bit too late for all my basketball teams where I took him. Late's happy for him though. Happy he's coming around. Pulling the old Bo Bette on us here.
Speaker 2 00:18:55 So he hit two home runs tonight. John
Speaker 1 00:18:57 Did he?
Speaker 2 00:18:58 Jo no Joon man. Kata hit two whom runs tonight? 3,300 against James caper.
Speaker 1 00:19:04 Interesting. Interesting spot for him. I won't touch that, but you know
Speaker 2 00:19:07 Well that's cuz you'll play Canari at
Speaker 1 00:19:09 28 against left. Kenario here against Lynch eight seventeens for kenario last 10.
Speaker 2 00:19:14 Yeah. Ken he's fun. 20. Hundred's a good price
Speaker 1 00:19:16 Around probably not hundred doer. That's it? I think Canio is the last one for me. Unless there's one I'm
Speaker 2 00:19:22 Missing. Um, the Rangers I call up their top
Speaker 1 00:19:25 Prospects. Yes. I saw that. Josh.
Speaker 2 00:19:26 John.
Speaker 1 00:19:27 Yep. So
Speaker 2 00:19:28 Which
Speaker 1 00:19:28 Position is he though?
Speaker 2 00:19:29 He's
Speaker 1 00:19:30 Gonna play days. There he is two
Speaker 2 00:19:31 K two K I know Shing. I'm just start out there. It's he's two K he's an elite talent. He's you know, one of those dudes that should be an elite talent,
Speaker 1 00:19:39 So yep. I agree. Short stop trade Turner Bo Bache. Let's see, be shed cooled off slightly. You know, no home runs the other day. So what
Speaker 2 00:19:47 Are you doing, dude?
Speaker 1 00:19:48 You know really?
Speaker 2 00:19:49 Like you said,
Speaker 1 00:19:50 Play him. We called it right. We were gonna, we play him
Speaker 2 00:19:53 12% ownership was a little interesting
Speaker 1 00:19:56 To see nothing there. So had 57 Swanson at 53. If you want to go there, let's
Speaker 2 00:20:02 See Ander. If he's in the lineup, if the back's been out for a couple
Speaker 1 00:20:05 Days, I mean, I mean that's probably where we would want to go. He's
Speaker 2 00:20:09 Heading 500 over his last 10 games,
Speaker 1 00:20:11 Right? No power, but
Speaker 2 00:20:13 Well, a little more than there were than there was he, there was like stretch.
Speaker 1 00:20:17 I least he's just giving you doubles now. He's not just ripping singles, you know? Yep.
Speaker 2 00:20:21 That's
Speaker 1 00:20:21 True. So there's yeah. I don't hate that for sure. Let's see. Have you buys the 42 against Lynch? I like that again. Just continues to have power against left hand to pitching even hitting 300 over his last 10 for him as well.
Speaker 2 00:20:33 That'll have you bias?
Speaker 1 00:20:35 Yep. Yep. Yep.
Speaker 2 00:20:36 See Andrew's Homer again today,
Speaker 1 00:20:38 John. Yeah, I would say, I mean, I'll go back to 28. Be
Speaker 2 00:20:41 Homer again.
Speaker 1 00:20:42 We know Capelli's not any good. So no,
Speaker 2 00:20:44 He is
Speaker 1 00:20:44 Not. Yeah. Andrew's at 28. Works for me. If we wanna spend down there. Anybody else
Speaker 2 00:20:48 Do we need? I don't think we need to go further. No, I agree with outfield. Aaron judge.
Speaker 1 00:20:53 Sure.
Speaker 2 00:20:54 I wanna, I ask you a question, John. Yeah. What do you think? How many home runs does Aaron judge end up with this year?
Speaker 1 00:21:00 69.
Speaker 2 00:21:01 <laugh> nice. Nice.
Speaker 1 00:21:02 You gave it to me. I saw I took it. You know,
Speaker 2 00:21:05 It was nice. Nice.
Speaker 1 00:21:06 Yeah. So judges at 65. That's fine. We talk about Tony bets already. I mean you would see a rose of REA and you'd be like, why is he 5,900? And then you click on and you'd be like, oh right. Cause he is, he's smoking the baseball again. So
Speaker 2 00:21:19 Hitting, hitting baseballs stealing bases about to be 2030. Yep. You know? Yep,
Speaker 1 00:21:23 Yep. Yep. Mike trout though. Uh,
Speaker 2 00:21:25 Even a tough spot.
Speaker 1 00:21:26 I mean Homer's in four straight games.
Speaker 2 00:21:29 So after a stretch of four and four or five, like just two weeks ago. Yeah. He just had a stretch of like home run five. Yeah.
Speaker 1 00:21:37 It's like my first good at baseball or something. It's weird.
Speaker 2 00:21:39 Yeah. It's crazy. He's like literally the best player we've seen this generation kind of
Speaker 1 00:21:43 Funny how something like that happens. That's go on in Springer are down here at 56 and 54. I man on I'm gonna say like, oh I'm not gonna play Shoreberg lefty on lefty. But like where's he really
Speaker 2 00:21:56 Probably gonna plan on win, win, wink in
Speaker 1 00:21:58 The cause if we, as we say it and he's not gonna, but if we don't say he's going to so, right, right. So we're just not gonna mention it, you know, but,
Speaker 2 00:22:07 But don't even think don't even think it.
Speaker 1 00:22:10 Yeah. So anyways, Tucker 52 Rendo gets the lefty in Lalo at 51. You know, I mentioned a bunch of guys there. How anybody to you that you're keying in on? Not
Speaker 2 00:22:21 Really. I like the lefties in Philly, Harper and key human. Not sure. And not sure we're yeah, probably the guys and then the Houston guys,
Speaker 1 00:22:31 I'm probably gonna find myself doing, doing another low own Toronto stack. So probably cause like nobody ever plays them and like eventually it has to work.
Speaker 2 00:22:40 The only thing is you spring Springer's FiNet Oscar out on paternity and Lordes left the other day with an injury. So
Speaker 1 00:22:48 Yeah. That's fine. I play I'll play Kirk. I'll play Vladi. I'll play Bache.
Speaker 2 00:22:53 Bry. Mel TAPO. Yeah. Jackie Bradley. Jr. Man. These outfielders are really yeah.
Speaker 1 00:22:59 Yeah. Play the big guys.
Speaker 2 00:23:00 Yeah. Play the big guns. Yeah.
Speaker 1 00:23:01 Under 5k. JD. Martinez's got his price bumped. I not really sure why that is not gonna
Speaker 2 00:23:06 He's been so good. Yeah. No he deserve that. Yeah.
Speaker 1 00:23:10 Yeah. He's I'm glad he is getting paid. I'm glad he opt it in. He deserves the money. Honestly. He's got great red SOC. He deserves to be paid even though he is not really that guy anymore. Let's see familys hitting though at 48. I'm
Speaker 2 00:23:20 Fine. The, our show keeps hitting in 48. Dude. This dudes just Homer in every time we look up it's
Speaker 1 00:23:27 Ish. We're like, what is it? Yeah. I like the better one. VAO had catcher. Eligibility.
Speaker 2 00:23:31 Yeah. Same. Those were
Speaker 1 00:23:32 The days.
Speaker 2 00:23:33 That was really good. Those were the fun times. Let's
Speaker 1 00:23:35 See here was Harris
Speaker 2 00:23:36 A lefty Harris. Yeah. Harris lefty. Cut. Kutch gets a lefty. Sure. Ick 44. Oh yeah.
Speaker 1 00:23:43 He homed the other day.
Speaker 2 00:23:44 He did homework. He homered in that big, that big comeback. Dude. You
Speaker 1 00:23:48 Mentioned Eloy. Eloy is better against righties. He's not like
Speaker 2 00:23:50 Dude Eloy. Yep. And he Homer
Speaker 1 00:23:53 4,300 there
Speaker 2 00:23:54 And he hit another one on Thursday. Yep. He just a monster right now. Yep.
Speaker 1 00:23:59 Profile's been hot. We played him the other day and then he followed it up. But a homework a couple days later. So if you him to go against me, you know again, could
Speaker 2 00:24:07 You can,
Speaker 1 00:24:08 He hasn't been good.
Speaker 2 00:24:10 He hasn't been great, dude. There's just like times when you watch that dude and you just like, he's throwing a different baseball than everyone
Speaker 1 00:24:17 Else. You just like the hair?
Speaker 2 00:24:19 No red hair sucks. No offense standing with red hair. <laugh> I'm just kidding. I'm just kidding. I'm just kidding. Whoa. Just kidding. Just kidding. No, nah, dude. He's like the way
Speaker 1 00:24:31 He just from an arm imagery. So his stuff's not gonna be there right
Speaker 2 00:24:34 Away. Yeah, that's fine. That's what
Speaker 1 00:24:35 It's if we're gonna go to 41 still cheap.
Speaker 2 00:24:37 That's I mean that's still, that's way more expensive than she than normal.
Speaker 1 00:24:42 I'm walking in McCarthy. Okay. That's fine. I think that's fair. A fair take agreed. 37 lefty verse riding marking course.
Speaker 2 00:24:50 A hundred percent affairs. Not even a take, not even a take. Just lock. Yeah. We finally get to playing.
Speaker 1 00:24:55 We finally get that out. The problem is like we should have been playing him all along. I know, but now we're finally gonna get to play. So he's like, oh, keeps facing lefties. We're never gonna get to go. And he has two selling bases. He falls it up with another stolen base. Like
Speaker 2 00:25:07 It's a, it's a home run.
Speaker 1 00:25:09 It's a home run. Yeah. So, and Corbin Carol. We should probably considered to lock in, right?
Speaker 2 00:25:14 Yeah. These
Speaker 1 00:25:15 Chief Marquette.
Speaker 2 00:25:16 Yeah. These cheap. Yeah.
Speaker 1 00:25:18 I listen. I know we don't like the sta we always say like fade cores, but I don't know, man.
Speaker 2 00:25:22 No, we don't always fade cores. We tried the other day and it didn't did not
Speaker 1 00:25:28 Work <laugh> it did
Speaker 2 00:25:29 Not work. It didn't work. It didn't work. We're here. We're taking that L yeah. This feels they're cheap. Marque has been bad at home. Always like he's always been bad at home when you three years ago were on like the Herman marque, like on the road.
Speaker 1 00:25:43 I, yeah. I've been telling you this forever
Speaker 2 00:25:45 Bandwagon, you know, it's still trip. Like you just can't pitch at home. So yeah. I'm okay. Actually going McCarthy Carroll.
Speaker 1 00:25:51 All right. So we have McCarthy car blocked in there. Any other value? I mean, rearing, as I talked about, he's even been hitting the ball. Well, pretty lately also Michael go, Taylor gets a lefty.
Speaker 2 00:26:00 Yep. That's interesting. Right?
Speaker 1 00:26:02 Big power for Taylor generally against lefties. He's been hot too. Three, seven a thousands
Speaker 2 00:26:07 Dude. You know, you know who, I've also been playing a lot. I've been playing a lot of red and I know that's like sound of alarms,
Speaker 1 00:26:15 Frail
Speaker 2 00:26:16 Dude, those guys and TJ Frito dude, he's been a monster 1200, almost a 1300 ops over his last 10 games. Four home runs two doubles hitting over 300 with a 900 less studies of keynote had two home runs the other day. He's hit three in his last four games. And Alexander does not miss bats. He does not strike people out. Like he had, he has had like a few games with more than like X amount of like four strikeouts this year. He just doesn't miss bats. Like
Speaker 1 00:26:47 He had to pick one between bridal and frailly which way are you going?
Speaker 2 00:26:50 Bridal? Because he is been better. But also
Speaker 1 00:26:53 He's cheaper too. Back up a hundred bucks.
Speaker 2 00:26:55 He's cheaper. I also like, I don't wanna fully commit in our lineup yet. Just in case we wanna play like a big pop or like judge or Jordan or well,
Speaker 1 00:27:06 So that's where I'm looking. If at the current, if we're locking into value Arizona plate, right. I feel like we probably have to pay up for Walker or Rojas here. Right?
Speaker 2 00:27:18 Yeah. I feel better. I think Walker, I really like
Speaker 1 00:27:22 Give your, gimme your home run call quickly and we'll get to the lineup construction here.
Speaker 2 00:27:25 All right. Ignoring course for the home run specific. Yeah, we do like cos I mean I'm three for three with trout. I should just
Speaker 1 00:27:32 Go. Just follow.
Speaker 2 00:27:33 I mean like I'm gonna go Aaron. No, they're like walk. He's not like getting pictures to hit right now. You go, unless I'm putting you on the spot. Yeah. That's a good one. Shoot man. I'll just go judge. Cause I don't know where else to go.
Speaker 1 00:27:46 All right. So you got judge. I got Hoskins. All right. Build our lineup. We got McCarthy and Carol, are we comfortable with that? Yes.
Speaker 2 00:27:52 Yeah. I, and I'll I would go another step in probably play CCHE Walker too. Yep.
Speaker 1 00:27:58 Yep. I agree. So, so Walker is, are we full stacking or are we
Speaker 2 00:28:04 I'm thinking about a game stack because Zach Davies is on the other side dude. Like we, like, I feel like it's sometimes I
Speaker 1 00:28:13 Kind of want a one off Bregman.
Speaker 2 00:28:14 I like, I mean, I love Breman. He was my second choice for a home run call. I was thinking about Astros in general. Yeah.
Speaker 1 00:28:20 Like Loren was very bad before that I in, so
Speaker 2 00:28:24 I'm just, I was the reason only reason I was bringing up the Rockies is because I feel like we look at opposing teams so much more when they visit cores. Yeah. As opposed to just like looking at the game, I'm just look, I was just looking at Davies' to see how he's pitched in cores. He's been whatever, five, 11 era, six home runs. So the strike upper nine, 4.7. Like not this and course. So,
Speaker 1 00:28:51 So would you rather,
Speaker 2 00:28:53 I mean, I'm cool with Bregman, but when we could maybe like a Ryan MCAH at second piece, he's been badly.
Speaker 1 00:28:59 He hasn't been good. I mean, so like that's a problem, right? You look at the recent Rockies guys.
Speaker 2 00:29:04 He stink. So
Speaker 1 00:29:05 I mean, Alan trio is
Speaker 2 00:29:06 Yeah,
Speaker 1 00:29:07 He's been okay. You know? Well, he'd
Speaker 2 00:29:09 Be in the lineup though. Yeah. I guess he's played every day. I was just thinking
Speaker 1 00:29:13 He be in the lineup else. So like he's 3,800. It would be another value play for that lineup too.
Speaker 2 00:29:20 Ands bad dude.
Speaker 1 00:29:21 But they don't add, they don't have a lot
Speaker 2 00:29:24 Line is their lineup is back.
Speaker 1 00:29:26 He played second base in shortstop. So like we could go, well, we, we kind of were considering Xander there, I guess if he played, but if we go trio at short, who did we like at catcher?
Speaker 2 00:29:38 We likes
Speaker 1 00:29:39 Sal. All right. What was our pitching gonna be? Do we want strip? We
Speaker 2 00:29:43 Don't have to go all the way up. We could just live in this
Speaker 1 00:29:47 BEO.
Speaker 2 00:29:47 I think if we're going above nine K probably MC colors or Morton.
Speaker 1 00:29:54 So I like Mor I think I like Morton here.
Speaker 2 00:29:57 Okay. Let's go Morton. And I think if we're gonna kind of dabble with cores ands, we might have to go bay seven K cause then we're gonna also one off Bregman.
Speaker 1 00:30:08 So we, so right now I have Mortons Walker open second base Bregman trio, McCarthy, Carol
Speaker 2 00:30:18 37, 3700 3700
Speaker 1 00:30:21 For a second basement and an outfielder. We like Friel, right? Yeah.
Speaker 2 00:30:25 Must. Yeah.
Speaker 1 00:30:27 So I mean, if you wanted to spend down at, as at the other outfield, it gives us 4,500 for a second basement
Speaker 2 00:30:34 At Mar and it gives you
Speaker 1 00:30:35 Marte.
Speaker 2 00:30:36 It gives who is heading three 20 and 16 games against the rocks
Speaker 1 00:30:40 Issue. Right? Not hitting well at all right now.
Speaker 2 00:30:43 Not hitting literally at all in the slightest
Speaker 1 00:30:47 Or if you wanted to spend down at second base, what did we think was here Arisa at 32
Speaker 2 00:30:52 Gris some 32.
Speaker 1 00:30:54 And that gives us a 4,200 outfield that, that gives us or a hundred off Eloy. Oh, so close.
Speaker 2 00:31:00 You could do a BI one off.
Speaker 1 00:31:03 Yeah, we can do a Bibi one
Speaker 2 00:31:05 Off. That would probably be the only other, I mean, Romi, Gonzalez, Homer again tonight, if you wanted to play like a Eloy Romi Gonzalez, but it's like no correlation within the lineup. It's just, correlation's two man stack.
Speaker 1 00:31:20 I'm I'm good with the cabin Visio one off cuz doning duning was not very good there.
Speaker 2 00:31:25 Yeah. He's been hitting for a little power.
Speaker 1 00:31:27 He might up if you're saying that those guys are out
Speaker 2 00:31:29 Three home runs in his last six games too. So it's not like he's been bad. He's been good. We don't know when Taser's getting back from fraternity, you know, everyone's gonna take different amount of time off for having a child. And we don't, what's his name? Lotus one for the MRI. So,
Speaker 1 00:31:44 So if we did this again, I know you mentioned wanting some of the Colorado side, but if we went cabin at second Frito in the outfield, that gives us a $5,600 shortstop, which would be
Speaker 2 00:31:57 The only problem is if Xander doesn't play,
Speaker 1 00:32:00 We could go Baez and then go up from BEO.
Speaker 2 00:32:05 So with going Eloy and you can also just play BAAs.
Speaker 1 00:32:13 Okay.
Speaker 2 00:32:13 I like that with BEO. You know what I'm saying? So I like
Speaker 1 00:32:17 That,
Speaker 2 00:32:18 But that's up to like, I don't know if that's something we wanna do.
Speaker 1 00:32:20 I mean, we're, it's a G right? So does have the home run potential verse lefty here,
Speaker 2 00:32:25 Especially verse lefties.
Speaker 1 00:32:26 Yep. Gives us a three man. Arizona stack gives us a couple,
Speaker 2 00:32:30 No other correlation and then no other correlation. Right. But I mean, correlation, isn't always what wins tos, you know?
Speaker 1 00:32:36 Yeah. You said wits better against lefties. I mean righties, right?
Speaker 2 00:32:40 Righties. Yeah. He was earlier in the air. I mean, that's what could
Speaker 1 00:32:43 Obviously, if we did Frito, we could do the two man wit Perez stack.
Speaker 2 00:32:48 Let's see. Let me just, let's just verify. Cause that obviously could change as sample sizes grow. He has. So he's actually hit for more power against lefting. He's been better average from an average standpoint against righties, but 2 39 ISO, which is super elite. Yeah. Against lefties. So there's obviously power upside for weight. So
Speaker 1 00:33:10 He's getting like one 90 against lefties though,
Speaker 2 00:33:12 But he is hitting two 30. Oh, he's not hitting good against either side. Right?
Speaker 1 00:33:16 What's his opiate first
Speaker 2 00:33:18 2, 2 7 30, which is 0.01% better than right's
Speaker 1 00:33:23 Okay. How? Okay.
Speaker 2 00:33:24 Two 60 OBP is what is dragging him down like four 70 slug is great. 2 39 ISO was elite.
Speaker 1 00:33:31 Would you do that then?
Speaker 2 00:33:32 Yeah, that's fine. We can run a two men. We can run some more correlation.
Speaker 1 00:33:35 We we're run a two man Royals stack. I don't think we've done that at all this year.
Speaker 2 00:33:38 I played Royals the other night and cashed on just a miracle because it was such a low scoring night. But I, I do think there is a lot of thump in that lineup.
Speaker 1 00:33:47 Okay. So we got Morton BEO at pitcher, Sal Walker, KA Bregman for second third, Bobby whi at short McCarthy, Carol and bridal. Yep. In your outfield, if you wanted to do the complete four man Arizona stack, same price as bridal is, is Al Thomas lefty there actually hitting the ball pretty well. Yeah. Probably as well. So could complete a four stack for Arizona. If you wanted to go there.
Speaker 2 00:34:18 Not a lot of power from Thomas, at least lately. Haven't seen a home run since August 3rd.
Speaker 1 00:34:23 So that's what we got then. So that's a lineup. I'll roll out there. Yeah.
Speaker 2 00:34:26 I like
Speaker 1 00:34:27 That. And obviously if the lineups come out and then we have to change around, hopefully not we've had success. I think I said this the other day. We've hit. I wanna say three of the last four.
Speaker 2 00:34:37 I think four or I think you said four or five. Yeah.
Speaker 1 00:34:39 Four of the last five podcast lineups we hit. The one we missed was the one we stacked against. We didn't play course. Yep.
